Gabapentin Gel. or other topical creams

Thu May 10, 2018 9:43 am by Rosie21

Hi I have been suffering for some years with this abominable pain. I have tried most of the systemic drugs , I asked specialists and Doctors if I could at least try a topical treatment but because this requires a special prescription have been refused Has anybody had a chance of trying these? Thank you I will try to put a link on to some of the research into Gabapentin Gel. Thanks.

Putnams 'bony parts' cushion or Putnams 'Dr Huff' cushion - which is best?

Sat Aug 01, 2015 4:17 pm by Fielder

Hi everyone,

I'm a newbie.  I live in the UK.

I'm trying to work out the best cushion to get for my vulvodynia.  I suspect that I could have pudendal nerve involvement (the aching and burning pain is from vagina to clitoris) and I have rectocele and some tailbone pain too.

I have seen some good reports on older threads regarding the Putnams pressure relief cushions....with some ladies …

An absolute success story- please read!

Fri Mar 08, 2019 10:57 pm by Persevere1990

Dear All,

I posted on here back in March 2017 having just got a diagnosis of vulvodynia after a few months of relentless and acute pain. I was desperate, I was hurting, I was scared I would never know life without pain there again.

I tried creams, acupuncture, numbing gels, frozen pads, baths with various internet recommended concoctions- convinced myself I had lichen sclerosus, herpes, thrush- …

Thu Feb 21, 2019 5:49 am by Jet227

hey, im 19, ive been struggling with this almost a year. The first week I became itchy I went in to check about a yeast infection another week later. I have been to 10 different doctors a total of about 15 appointments for this problem for the past 11 months. I have been tested for everything including having a biopsy. I was first told basically to just go home and use hydrocortazone, then I went …

MonaLisa Touch

Fri Feb 08, 2019 7:35 pm by rl2091

Hi All,

I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with the MonaLisa Touch treatment for Vulvodynia? My pain started when I went on HRT(pill) for anxiety mainly and my pain abruntly stopped when I stopped HRT. However, when I started on the HRT patch (at my dr's suggestion), the pain returned and has never left. That was 7 years ago. I found MonaLisa Touch on the internet purely by accident …

Diagnosed Recently

Tue Jan 08, 2019 3:55 pm by flissyg

Hi All,

I’m so glad I’ve found a place where there are others who understand how I feel!

So this is my story:-

I’m 36,  and 4 months ago, whilst innocently sitting in bed reading I experienced a very sharp stabbing pain in my clitoris. It last only a few minutes and then subsided as quickly as it came on. It put it down to “one of those things”.  The following morning I woke up …

New and need advice and help

Wed Dec 05, 2018 3:26 pm by Cin124

Hi everyone,

About three months ago, I started having vaginal and vulval itching. Then, about two months ago, my vulva started to feel painful and look swollen, so I went to the doctor. I was tested for herpes, chlamydia, and gonorrhea which all came back negative. I also had to do a vaginal swab test and the only thing that came back positive was yeast infection. I was prescribed hydrozole …

Hello!

Sitting here, knowing I have just registered to a vulvodynia support forum, is almost bringing me to tears. Maybe over the frustration of what I've been going through, but also maybe because I'll finally be able to talk about this with people who understand.

I feel like my husband doesn't really grasp how this has been affecting me, I have no close women friends, my mother has long since passed away, and I've felt so alone dealing with this.

I suppose I will save my "story" for the story board, but I just want to say thank you for creating this site, because I deeply needed it.

New, Frustrated, Looking For Support :-) Empty your not alone

I know sweety. Im going thru the same thing. My Husband has a hard time understanding aswell, and I think he just thinks Im crazy, and he is completely grossed out and disgusted by the oils thing ( I use essential oils in myself), its awful.

The experience of having this condition is the most painful thing imaginable for a women. There were times when I literally cursed God, and HATED, and cursed being a women, it seemed my sex life and my ability to have a normal, loving relationship with another human being had been taken from me forever.
I hated being a women.
Ive been thru so much with this, I completely understand. You are not alone.

New, Frustrated, Looking For Support :-) Empty since 2003, I am in the boat with you all

Post  chilijackie@aol.com Fri Feb 15, 2013 4:18 pm

My search for a Doctor began in 2003, after a herpes outbreak had healed, I was left with
sand paper rubbing just from walking. Nothing was there to see, only the pain.
I had seen many Doctors back then, no one knew. I live in south FL. Went to university of Miami. One doctor in south FL new what it was. It was a guessing game to what meds may work, I had a pharmacy it seemed at home of everthing that did not work.
I started wearing boy short underware back them, before they were the fashion. I felt like a freak. I gave up with trying all the meds. After two years it got better. Have never worn a thong since 2003. In 2010 NYE. I got another herpes attack. After is healed
pain was unbeliable. Red inflamed. Spent alot of time in cool bath tub. After much
research and doc after doc, I found Doc Trabin in WPB. He speaclized in V.
I started on Lyrica, liodincane patches cut into small pices, soma to reduce spamses.
Shots of I do not even know what was in them. But they hurt going in. Never helped.
The Lyrica does help, with soma. However, yesterday I saw him again for refills on meds.
Now he says since pain is still there. have not worn jeans in three years. Sitting for more than 2 hours is not an option, nor walking for more than 2 hours. This has changed my life. I want it back. He now wants to do surgery since nothing has taken the pain away. He says after three years, would I want to pain free. If any one has surgery on outside of opening please tell me. I do not know what to do. Thank you

I live in Coral Springs FL. Doc Trabin is WPB. Is this your Doc. I have been seeing him for 2 years now, before I was seeing Tara Soloman. Who got so mean, I would not go back to her. My pharmisit told me about Doctor Trabin.
Thank you

Hello ladies, I'm new to the forum. What's this surgery you all are talking about? I've had Vulvodynia since 2005 and I get recurrent BV as well. This pain is getting worse and the meds and ointment aren't really helping. I cannot even work anymore because of this pain! My 25 year old son takes care of me. I feel like such a burden. Will this surgery fix it so I'll have no more pain and be able to work, date, and possibly get married again?
