Gabapentin Gel. or other topical creams

Thu May 10, 2018 9:43 am by Rosie21

Hi I have been suffering for some years with this abominable pain. I have tried most of the systemic drugs , I asked specialists and Doctors if I could at least try a topical treatment but because this requires a special prescription have been refused Has anybody had a chance of trying these? Thank you I will try to put a link on to some of the research into Gabapentin Gel. Thanks.

Putnams 'bony parts' cushion or Putnams 'Dr Huff' cushion - which is best?

Sat Aug 01, 2015 4:17 pm by Fielder

Hi everyone,

I'm a newbie.  I live in the UK.

I'm trying to work out the best cushion to get for my vulvodynia.  I suspect that I could have pudendal nerve involvement (the aching and burning pain is from vagina to clitoris) and I have rectocele and some tailbone pain too.

I have seen some good reports on older threads regarding the Putnams pressure relief cushions....with some ladies …

An absolute success story- please read!

Fri Mar 08, 2019 10:57 pm by Persevere1990

Dear All,

I posted on here back in March 2017 having just got a diagnosis of vulvodynia after a few months of relentless and acute pain. I was desperate, I was hurting, I was scared I would never know life without pain there again.

I tried creams, acupuncture, numbing gels, frozen pads, baths with various internet recommended concoctions- convinced myself I had lichen sclerosus, herpes, thrush- …

I'm sorry im rambling

Thu Feb 21, 2019 5:49 am by Jet227

hey, im 19, ive been struggling with this almost a year. The first week I became itchy I went in to check about a yeast infection another week later. I have been to 10 different doctors a total of about 15 appointments for this problem for the past 11 months. I have been tested for everything including having a biopsy. I was first told basically to just go home and use hydrocortazone, then I went …

MonaLisa Touch

Fri Feb 08, 2019 7:35 pm by rl2091

Hi All,

I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with the MonaLisa Touch treatment for Vulvodynia? My pain started when I went on HRT(pill) for anxiety mainly and my pain abruntly stopped when I stopped HRT. However, when I started on the HRT patch (at my dr's suggestion), the pain returned and has never left. That was 7 years ago. I found MonaLisa Touch on the internet purely by accident …

Diagnosed Recently

Hi All,

I’m so glad I’ve found a place where there are others who understand how I feel!

So this is my story:-

I’m 36,  and 4 months ago, whilst innocently sitting in bed reading I experienced a very sharp stabbing pain in my clitoris. It last only a few minutes and then subsided as quickly as it came on. It put it down to “one of those things”.  The following morning I woke up …

New and need advice and help

Wed Dec 05, 2018 3:26 pm by Cin124

Hi everyone,

About three months ago, I started having vaginal and vulval itching. Then, about two months ago, my vulva started to feel painful and look swollen, so I went to the doctor. I was tested for herpes, chlamydia, and gonorrhea which all came back negative. I also had to do a vaginal swab test and the only thing that came back positive was yeast infection. I was prescribed hydrozole …

Hello all you girls sitting on ice packs. Saw my new vagina specialist dude today, he set me up for an apt. to have a colp(oscoscop with laser vaporization of hymenal and caruncle tabs. Thats exactly how they have it written. So he said that he will be burning off a few layers of skin. I guess thats the way they explain it to ppl like me. So Im thinking "DOH! Say what? Your gonna burn my ta ta?". So I tell him "ok, it cant burn any more than it burns already" and if he screws it up and makes it hurt worse, then may as well put me out of my misery, cause I will hunt him down like a Blood Hound.

So, Im excited but also scared shitless. Has anyone here ever had this done? If so, how did it go and what should I expect?

Thanks and hugs

Hi cookie, I haven't had it done but I would research it to death before you go, I have seen other women online talk about similar things and sometimes not in a good way so I would suggest googling it and trawling through the results and if you find anyone mentioning it ask them about it so you have a clearer picture of what to expect.  Good luck with it though.

Hi Hun, I started Googling it yesterday but ya know how that goes, I get things about Cloposcopy  but not exactly as they have it written on the paper work. So back to the drawing board I guess, to do more research. Thanks

I would be careful googling anything you could drive yourself insane. Remember most people who leave reviews are the ones it didn't work for. That being said when I went to look for my research for my surgery it was all people talking about how bad it was but for me I'm cured. If your doctor thinks that's good for you ask him/her why what their success rates are why do they think you should have this done? And than possibly get a second opinion from another doctor. Google is a source for way too much info. I'm glad I didn't listen to the reviews because (apart from this yeast) I am 100% fine.

Hi Alana hun, I tried Googling just so that I could find out exactly what the surgery entitles but trying to find any info. is ridiculously hard. So, instead, I called the Dr.s office and am waiting for Triage/Nurse to call me back. I will ask her what the name of the surgery is called and where I can find information about it on-line. I asked this Dr. if he had treated women with Lichen before and he said he had. I have pre-op blood work to be done next week and I guess that is when they will go over all the information about the surgery but I want to know right now. :)I also want to know how many of these surgeries he has done in the past.

What was the name of your surgery again? Sorry, I can't remember.

Mine is way different than yours because it was localized but it was called a vestibulectomy. Obviously look just dont scare yourself to death.. maybe once you figure it out call another speciakist somewhere and see what they think

I found out a bit more about the surgery/procedure. Colposcoscopy is acutaually just the name of the instrument that will be used. The Dr. explained that when Hymen is broke, it ends up having left over tabs. He is going to remove those tabs. The day of the surgery he will ask me what I want him to do and what I dont want him to do. So if he sees something suspicious inside my vagina, he wants to know if he can take care of the problem during the surgery and my answer would be "hell no" As for what I want him to do would be to laser the area where my lichen simplex is located and I would like him to cut some fat off of my ass and stuff it in my breasts. It would be great to wake with my yahoo fixed, a smaller ass and a nice rack. Smile

Hope your all well. Love to you all.
