Gabapentin Gel. or other topical creams
Thu May 10, 2018 9:43 am by Rosie21
Hi I have been suffering for some years with this abominable pain. I have tried most of the systemic drugs , I asked specialists and Doctors if I could at least try a topical treatment but because this requires a special prescription have been refused Has anybody had a chance of trying these? Thank you I will try to put a link on to some of the research into Gabapentin Gel. Thanks.

Putnams 'bony parts' cushion or Putnams 'Dr Huff' cushion - which is best?
Sat Aug 01, 2015 4:17 pm by Fielder
Hi everyone,
I'm a newbie. I live in the UK.
I'm trying to work out the best cushion to get for my vulvodynia. I suspect that I could have pudendal nerve involvement (the aching and burning pain is from vagina to clitoris) and I have rectocele and some tailbone pain too.
I have seen some good reports on older threads regarding the Putnams pressure relief cushions....with some ladies …

Dear All,
I posted on here back in March 2017 having just got a diagnosis of vulvodynia after a few months of relentless and acute pain. I was desperate, I was hurting, I was scared I would never know life without pain there again.
I tried creams, acupuncture, numbing gels, frozen pads, baths with various internet recommended concoctions- convinced myself I had lichen sclerosus, herpes, thrush- …

I was first told basically to just go home and use hydrocortazone, then I went …

MonaLisa Touch
Fri Feb 08, 2019 7:35 pm by rl2091
Hi All,
I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with the MonaLisa Touch treatment for Vulvodynia? My pain started when I went on HRT(pill) for anxiety mainly and my pain abruntly stopped when I stopped HRT. However, when I started on the HRT patch (at my dr's suggestion), the pain returned and has never left. That was 7 years ago. I found MonaLisa Touch on the internet purely by accident …

Hi All,
I’m so glad I’ve found a place where there are others who understand how I feel!
So this is my story:-
I’m 36, and 4 months ago, whilst innocently sitting in bed reading I experienced a very sharp stabbing pain in my clitoris. It last only a few minutes and then subsided as quickly as it came on. It put it down to “one of those things”. The following morning I woke up …

New and need advice and help
Wed Dec 05, 2018 3:26 pm by Cin124
Hi everyone,
About three months ago, I started having vaginal and vulval itching. Then, about two months ago, my vulva started to feel painful and look swollen, so I went to the doctor. I was tested for herpes, chlamydia, and gonorrhea which all came back negative. I also had to do a vaginal swab test and the only thing that came back positive was yeast infection. I was prescribed hydrozole …

Yeast free, IC free, Vulvodynia free, Betadine douche finnally kicked it :)
Hey guys, just thought Id update on my latest struggle.
I am now newly married, and altho, its been a rough beginning, I feel 100% cured now, and just thought Id share about my new discovery that kicked my latest Vulva/Yeast infection irritation pain in the butt. Betadine douche!!!!!!!!
So simple, I cannot believe Ive overlooked this, this long, and Ive researched and TRIED everything.
The Bladder, IC pain is gone, (thanks to Massive doses of Bactrim). I still had some residual pain, but I guess it was just my bladder healing, cuz its been a few weeks now, and NO PAIN, even during my period this month.
I still had a mild yeast infection and I was attacking it with gelcaps full of horendoucly strong essential oils, 2 to 3 times a day(not recommended). Havnt been able to have sex with my Husband for a month and a half. My cervix was swollen, and the oils were helping but not really working this time, and I was using more and more(again, not recommended) and it just wasnt getting rid of it.
I was using 2 drops of clove, 3 drops eucalyptus, and ylang ylang, and 3 drops bergamont 3 times a day, That is just so wrong!!!!
I remember when even one drop of eucalyptus would make me jump around and dance around the room for a good 5 min, if I put it anywhere near my vag, and now I was putting tons of it in there, and it wasnt burning me, but my flowers were so swollen and I could feel that horrendous pain was still there, I wasnt making progress.
I guess my vagina got immune to the strength of the oils.
In my experience using essential oils, and (in the past Ive had great results) your body or the yeast cells CAN get used to them, so you have to rotate them, but it just seem like this nitemare wasnt ending, and I knew, even if I made this yeast infection go away. I would just get it again, next time I have sex, so I felt like topping myself at times, I was so sad.
So anyway, my Mother, being in her sixties, told me about an old time remedy, Betadine Douche, or Iodine douches. Twice a day for a week to 14 days. Said, it always worked for her., she said she could kick a mild yeast infection (preventative !!!) with just one to 2 douches, ...........she asked me to try that.
Now, Ive always been under the assumption that douches are bad, and in my experience, using peroxide and apple cider vinegar douches, always made my condition worse, so I ALWAYS STAYED WAY AWAY from douches. Plus they always made me dry aswell.
Well, guys not only did it make me better, it has completely cured me. Also, I can even have sex WHILE Im doing treatment, which is also amazing.
Another thing is, now I have something to help me prevent another infection.
Just buy a bottle of providone iodine, (Betadine) at the drugstore for approximately $20 a bottle, and a few boxes of disposable douches. Dump out the liquid, fill the bottle halfway with tap water, and several drops of the Betadine. Make it a very dark red, )make a strong solution) get into the bathtub, and insert douche as far in as it will go, use gentle pressure, etc, etc. Works. Its amazing. Im cured. Thank You God.
God Bless

My Doctor actually discouraged me from using betadine douches as some people can have a really bad reaction to it, (red blistering sores, and irritation) but it actually doesnt bother me at all, and makes me feel relief, and yes, Im still feeling great.
Now all Im doing is inserting a probiotic acidophilus capsule in with a clean finger after my shower in the morning, and I feel good.
im also gonna try a product called "Flora Fem" which is 6 probiotitic vaginal suppositories for $50 (pricey, i know) , off amazon. com. The reviews are really good, and alot of women are swearing by it. I tend to think Vulvodynia is an imbalance, anyway, the acidophilus capsules vaginally help me, and I feel fine right now.

as far as using your fingers to rub oils around inside the vagina a few times a day, i think Ive changed my mind on that, as I might have actually caused an infection by doing that, as fingers are not always clean, even after you wash them. Also the oils can be very harsh on the tissues, and even ineffective, as I didnt have as much luck with my last infection, (and I scalded my vag, lol ;( ) altho they worked great before. Ive cured problems for myself before with oils.
I find the probiotics, and gentle douching is working much better, at this point, Im taking a break on the oils for awhile.
Im not douching now, as I cured my infection, but i WILL permanently be inserting a femdophilus capsule inside my vag every morning, as I sincerely believe, I was born not having enough of the vaginal flora naturally to ward off these problems. and also taking orally, 2 pills a day.
Ive also started AZO YEAST again, 2 pilss a day orally.
Good luck!

Could you have killed off the good bacteria/yeast with all that you're doing? Im not trying to be rude or anything but that's a whole lot of stuff you were putting in your hooha. I try not to put anything there keeps her happy. But if it works more power to you
