Gabapentin Gel. or other topical creams
Thu May 10, 2018 9:43 am by Rosie21
Hi I have been suffering for some years with this abominable pain. I have tried most of the systemic drugs , I asked specialists and Doctors if I could at least try a topical treatment but because this requires a special prescription have been refused Has anybody had a chance of trying these? Thank you I will try to put a link on to some of the research into Gabapentin Gel. Thanks.

Putnams 'bony parts' cushion or Putnams 'Dr Huff' cushion - which is best?
Sat Aug 01, 2015 4:17 pm by Fielder
Hi everyone,
I'm a newbie. I live in the UK.
I'm trying to work out the best cushion to get for my vulvodynia. I suspect that I could have pudendal nerve involvement (the aching and burning pain is from vagina to clitoris) and I have rectocele and some tailbone pain too.
I have seen some good reports on older threads regarding the Putnams pressure relief cushions....with some ladies …

Dear All,
I posted on here back in March 2017 having just got a diagnosis of vulvodynia after a few months of relentless and acute pain. I was desperate, I was hurting, I was scared I would never know life without pain there again.
I tried creams, acupuncture, numbing gels, frozen pads, baths with various internet recommended concoctions- convinced myself I had lichen sclerosus, herpes, thrush- …

MonaLisa Touch
Fri Feb 08, 2019 7:35 pm by rl2091
Hi All,
I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with the MonaLisa Touch treatment for Vulvodynia? My pain started when I went on HRT(pill) for anxiety mainly and my pain abruntly stopped when I stopped HRT. However, when I started on the HRT patch (at my dr's suggestion), the pain returned and has never left. That was 7 years ago. I found MonaLisa Touch on the internet purely by accident …

Hi All,
I’m so glad I’ve found a place where there are others who understand how I feel!
So this is my story:-
I’m 36, and 4 months ago, whilst innocently sitting in bed reading I experienced a very sharp stabbing pain in my clitoris. It last only a few minutes and then subsided as quickly as it came on. It put it down to “one of those things”. The following morning I woke up …

New and need advice and help
Wed Dec 05, 2018 3:26 pm by Cin124
Hi everyone,
About three months ago, I started having vaginal and vulval itching. Then, about two months ago, my vulva started to feel painful and look swollen, so I went to the doctor. I was tested for herpes, chlamydia, and gonorrhea which all came back negative. I also had to do a vaginal swab test and the only thing that came back positive was yeast infection. I was prescribed hydrozole …

suck fest sorry i'm really pmsing!
I need a rant about how much it SUCKS to be a woman. I was just diagnosed with a crazy yeast infection that I have to treat for a YEAR yes a year! Do you know how bad that sucks?
I HATE BEING A WOMAN! We get way more infections than men, have to wear bras, get migraines, have periods and have babies! Are you kidding me? I HATE BRAS they are uncomfortable and on top of that, my doctor told me that its BAD for you, yet we go like zombies doing what people expect us to do even tho its bad for our health. Seriously, I have cysts, and stopped wearing a bra and my ultrasounds are 40% BETTER! What in the HELL?! And my boobs are perkier too
Lets go onto our monthly visitor, the "gift" from hell. I HATE having a period. It's disgusting, I can't sleep, I have headaches, cramps, nausea. And I have to control all of this on birth control pills. Awesome! Not to mention the diaper wearing I do.
Let's move onto pregnancy. You get preg you're nauseous for 9 months, you start gaining weight, you eat like a horse, than deliver the damn thing and are solely responsible for it after you're body has been thru a war (God forbid the man actually wake up!) and you bleed for 6 weeks after. Not to mention breast feeding.

- I AM SO SICK OF BEING A WOMAN! And worst of all this is for a normal woman with NO PROBLEMS. Add into the fact of vulvodynia, endometriosis, IC, PFD, vaginismus, etc etc etc. IT SUCKS! Why can't men suffer? Why can't they get ANYTHING. And for that reason why did I have to be born into this suck fest? I'm tired, pissy and this yeast infection is driving me mad! Sorry, but I had to vent to someone who may understand my predicament ugh

Im glad you found some relief. It depends greatly on the Dr., if they choose to listen to all your complaints and connect the damn dots. Its obvious that VV sufferers or women with constant pain or complications in their lady parts are a special kind of sensitive. It seems we're sensitive to everything and our bodies are just not working like they are supposed to.

I have a friend who gets a yeast infection once every 4 months (only when she has unsafe sex)
she never takes medication and swears by the Anti-candida diet. (basically eliminate sugar from your diet)

I totally know what you mean Alana. I hate periods too! The nausea combined with unbearable cramps is not fun. Guys do seem to get off a lot lighter than we do, but not always. My boyfriend had a really painful cyst in his epididymis which caused both testes and pelvic area to be super sore and tender. It has come back twice and he has to go on antibiotics for it, sometimes he cries and is just not himself at all. I feel so bad for him and just cuddle him lots. He developed it whilst ive had the wonderful vulvodynia so we have kinda helped each other. Don't know how I'd have coped without him!
