Gabapentin Gel. or other topical creams
Thu May 10, 2018 9:43 am by Rosie21
Hi I have been suffering for some years with this abominable pain. I have tried most of the systemic drugs , I asked specialists and Doctors if I could at least try a topical treatment but because this requires a special prescription have been refused Has anybody had a chance of trying these? Thank you I will try to put a link on to some of the research into Gabapentin Gel. Thanks.

Putnams 'bony parts' cushion or Putnams 'Dr Huff' cushion - which is best?
Sat Aug 01, 2015 4:17 pm by Fielder
Hi everyone,
I'm a newbie. I live in the UK.
I'm trying to work out the best cushion to get for my vulvodynia. I suspect that I could have pudendal nerve involvement (the aching and burning pain is from vagina to clitoris) and I have rectocele and some tailbone pain too.
I have seen some good reports on older threads regarding the Putnams pressure relief cushions....with some ladies …

Dear All,
I posted on here back in March 2017 having just got a diagnosis of vulvodynia after a few months of relentless and acute pain. I was desperate, I was hurting, I was scared I would never know life without pain there again.
I tried creams, acupuncture, numbing gels, frozen pads, baths with various internet recommended concoctions- convinced myself I had lichen sclerosus, herpes, thrush- …

MonaLisa Touch

Hi All,
I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with the MonaLisa Touch treatment for Vulvodynia? My pain started when I went on HRT(pill) for anxiety mainly and my pain abruntly stopped when I stopped HRT. However, when I started on the HRT patch (at my dr's suggestion), the pain returned and has never left. That was 7 years ago. I found MonaLisa Touch on the internet purely by accident …

Hi All,
I’m so glad I’ve found a place where there are others who understand how I feel!
So this is my story:-
I’m 36, and 4 months ago, whilst innocently sitting in bed reading I experienced a very sharp stabbing pain in my clitoris. It last only a few minutes and then subsided as quickly as it came on. It put it down to “one of those things”. The following morning I woke up …

New and need advice and help
Wed Dec 05, 2018 3:26 pm by Cin124
Hi everyone,
About three months ago, I started having vaginal and vulval itching. Then, about two months ago, my vulva started to feel painful and look swollen, so I went to the doctor. I was tested for herpes, chlamydia, and gonorrhea which all came back negative. I also had to do a vaginal swab test and the only thing that came back positive was yeast infection. I was prescribed hydrozole …

Re: Physical therapy
It does but its not going to go away entirely. Its mostly for muscles I did it but I would say it didnt truly help until after my surgery. Its worth it to try tho!

Thanks Alana! Still not sure what I've got going on.... We'll see how it goes. Trying to stay emotionally positive at the moment. My skin is do sensitive. But I can see associated redness, etc. by end of day.....I have more aching/soreness.

Re: Physical therapy
Some of the ladies on here have completely recovered from skin sensitivity and inflammation (the redness you're seeing) with PT, if the cause is muscular then yes it has a good chance of working

Can anyone who has recovered or knows someone who has recovered from this vial curse tell me about how long it took for Physical Therapy to make it go away? I've been going now for 6 or 7 weeks, some better but still there. Thanks much.

Re: Physical therapy
were you getting any results with PT? If so what was happening? Did your PT do internal massage? That is what I am having.

Re: Physical therapy
Yeah I got all that but my nerves were shot and misfiring. With a little muscular issues it wasn't terrible. If yours is muscles it should work well for you! But initially mine wasn't so the therapy ended up helping but it wasn't going to go away entirely until my nerves were gone...

Re: Physical therapy
from all my deductions and my gyn agreed enough to give me a PT referral and my PT says it sounds like it to her that my problem is most likely muscular stemming from a pelvic fx I sustained over 2 years ago. Sat on my right buttock for more than two years and tensing up constantly when I did because I dreaded pain from my left side. I also had a bought with IBS right before the symptoms started. Anyway, you didn't ask for my life history. Glad you got relief. Are you in the states or where?

Re: Physical therapy
Hey neighbor! Haha no big deal I want tp help if I can! Try pt it might work for you! In scared that my v will come back (because now I have a healthy normal relationship I feel like itll rear its ugly head). I switched birth control and im just freaked out. But I have to be on it cuz of endometriosis what a disaster. But yeah if its muscular pt will fix you right up. But it does take time patience in this is a virtue. Let me know what happens!!

Re: Physical therapy
I will let you know. I surely hope your's doesn't come back. How could it if your nerves are gone? Can I ask you if you are able to feel down there when you are having sex? I mean of course in the vulva area, I know the sx didn't remove your vagina.
