Hi I have been suffering for some years with this abominable pain. I have tried most of the systemic drugs , I asked specialists and Doctors if I could at least try a topical treatment but because this requires a special prescription have been refused Has anybody had a chance of trying these? Thank you I will try to put a link on to some of the research into Gabapentin Gel. Thanks.

Hi everyone, I was part of this forum about 4 years ago and suffer from painful sex (vulvodynia). I have since divorced, due to my husband and I not having an intimate relationship. I did search for help while we were together and not sure if it was because I really didn't love my husband that I didn't try hard enough to fix this terrible blight.I have been single for two years and avoided getting involved with men in that time. I am going to the doctor and try the antidepressant and whatever else they can suggest. I am starting to wonder if trying again will be to no avail. I have been reading others on this site treatments etc. I have just got onto a site which sells yoni eggs ( semiprecious stone/crystal egg size balls that you insert into your vagina for kegal exercises. ( I know we don't need to tighten ourselves up. It tones your vaginal muscles and is supposed to be healing) It is the first time I have been able to have anything inserted in my vagina and felt a fantastic sensation. (not happened for 10 years)
Only just started using them. I got the ones with holes to put string in so you can pull it out. (worried they will get stuck up there) This is not vibrator, It is a healing tool for women. (could never use a vibrator because of the pain ) I will keep trying with the yoni eggs and see if they make any impact and report any findings. Ever hopeful.
