Gabapentin Gel. or other topical creams
Thu May 10, 2018 9:43 am by Rosie21
Hi I have been suffering for some years with this abominable pain. I have tried most of the systemic drugs , I asked specialists and Doctors if I could at least try a topical treatment but because this requires a special prescription have been refused Has anybody had a chance of trying these? Thank you I will try to put a link on to some of the research into Gabapentin Gel. Thanks.

Putnams 'bony parts' cushion or Putnams 'Dr Huff' cushion - which is best?
Sat Aug 01, 2015 4:17 pm by Fielder
Hi everyone,
I'm a newbie. I live in the UK.
I'm trying to work out the best cushion to get for my vulvodynia. I suspect that I could have pudendal nerve involvement (the aching and burning pain is from vagina to clitoris) and I have rectocele and some tailbone pain too.
I have seen some good reports on older threads regarding the Putnams pressure relief cushions....with some ladies …

Dear All,
I posted on here back in March 2017 having just got a diagnosis of vulvodynia after a few months of relentless and acute pain. I was desperate, I was hurting, I was scared I would never know life without pain there again.
I tried creams, acupuncture, numbing gels, frozen pads, baths with various internet recommended concoctions- convinced myself I had lichen sclerosus, herpes, thrush- …

I have been to 10 different doctors a total of about 15 appointments for this problem for the past 11 months. I have been tested for everything including having a biopsy. I was first told basically to just go home and use hydrocortazone, then I went …

MonaLisa Touch

Hi All,
I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with the MonaLisa Touch treatment for Vulvodynia? My pain started when I went on HRT(pill) for anxiety mainly and my pain abruntly stopped when I stopped HRT. However, when I started on the HRT patch (at my dr's suggestion), the pain returned and has never left. That was 7 years ago. I found MonaLisa Touch on the internet purely by accident …

Hi All,
I’m so glad I’ve found a place where there are others who understand how I feel!
So this is my story:-
I’m 36, and 4 months ago, whilst innocently sitting in bed reading I experienced a very sharp stabbing pain in my clitoris. It last only a few minutes and then subsided as quickly as it came on. It put it down to “one of those things”. The following morning I woke up …

New and need advice and help

Hi everyone,
About three months ago, I started having vaginal and vulval itching. Then, about two months ago, my vulva started to feel painful and look swollen, so I went to the doctor. I was tested for herpes, chlamydia, and gonorrhea which all came back negative. I also had to do a vaginal swab test and the only thing that came back positive was yeast infection. I was prescribed hydrozole …

apparently i am lazy!!!
Hi everyone,
A happy and healthy new year to u all. Oh joy i have to go to my sisters for a family gathering - nice or it would be if my pain in the arse brother in law wasn't going to be there. On boxing day during a quiz he made a quiet comment about me not knowing what it was like to be working as I was too lazy to bother finding another job - fucking bastard- I want to put his balls in a vice and then pour caustic soda over his knob and then see how he could lead a normal life!!!!!!!!!!
I've as good as been told i will have this bloody condition for the rest of my life, i could do without nasty, fucking comments like that!!!!!!!!!!('')

Re: apparently i am lazy!!!
Oh that made me laugh!!! I wasn't expecting the fucking bastard comment. I find brothers-in-law in general are feckless gobshites. Thankfully my sister had her useless growth amputated. I only have one more and then one on the other side who I tolerate because he pours a healthy glass of anything.
Well my lovely you are lazy and apparently I mention every day that I'm not well... this from my 22 year old daughter who arrived home in November with her 3 year old so now lives with us, did I mention... for free! All while behaving like a 12 year old. I facebook messaged her last week to ask her if she wouldn't mind getting out of bed ...TO FEED HIM!!! My therapist said I need to catch her doing good things and compliment her, remember that from toddler taming? There's also still time for the frontal lobe to come in from the cold. Yayyy!!! I was starting to think that was up the mountain with bigfoot.
I ruined our New Years dinner by not coming up with a happy response to "what was your highlight for 2010" Fucken nothing!!! It was shite from start to fucken finish. If I was more charitable I would have made some nice comments about my lovely supportive husband BUT he started the stupid give thanks crapola. And I then detonated any hopes for 2011 - a cure for two incurable diseases please... happy face!!!
Did your sister hear Mr nasty? Best you tell her that it's really hard to be judged so harshly by people you love. I find there's nothing like a wait till you get home Mr. Give him something to really look forward too.
Happy new year!!!

Re: apparently i am lazy!!!
You two are quite entertaining! Damn, people are so ignorant, aren't they? no compassion from your brother in law at all. when people say stupid things i just tell myself they are not very bright...don't get it etc. Many people do not think about others at all. They have to compassion or empathy. Your sister should kick this loser to the curb!
As for you, Mouse....I love how you had to tell your daughter to get out of bed. I have a son home visiting from college and he is a complete slob. He also is eating us out of house and home. He is super thin but eats all of my vegies, rice etc. HELP! He hasn't worked for a few years because he "wants to only focus on school." My husband is so sick of him leaching off us. I'm the nice enabling mama. My other son also lives at home. he at least works and doesn't bother us for money. he's 19...when he matures, we'll figure out a school plan for him. Oh the joys of being a parent to adult boys. I wonder if they'll ever move out????
hope your new year is going better. I have to go back to work tomorrow after 3 days off. Stress...here i come! Damnit. but, i do get to go to Mexico in 5 days w/ 2 girlfriends. they are very sympathetic and kind. bring on those margaritas!

Re: apparently i am lazy!!!
I've had the lazy comments for years, my Hypermobility Syndrome and Fibromyalgia have prevented me from working for some time now and although incredibly painful obviously not visible conditions except on the days I can't put any weight through one leg etc so I've had all the "lazy" and "parasite" comments people like to throw around. I just ignore stupid remarks like that, I know how I feel and it doesn't matter to me if others don't. Most people don't understand chronic pain because they're lucky enough not to have it!
