Hi I have been suffering for some years with this abominable pain. I have tried most of the systemic drugs , I asked specialists and Doctors if I could at least try a topical treatment but because this requires a special prescription have been refused Has anybody had a chance of trying these? Thank you I will try to put a link on to some of the research into Gabapentin Gel. Thanks.

Hi All,
I'm looking for some input from the best group of detectives I know (we have all gotten good at solving riddles)

My doc says vulvodynia.... culture shows very minimal clue cells. But....

My PH is very high, always above 6
have a lot of white blood cells.

I thought the high ph with high WBC indicates an infectious process? I don't understand. Any attempts to regulate ph last about 5 mins.

Thanks for your thoughts on this.

This could be desquamative inflammatory vaginitis or inflammatory vaginitis (the type and concentration of WBC's determine if it is IV or DIV).

I would guess that since you are struggling to maintain an acidic pH you have a low count of good bacteria (lactobacillus). Both DIV and IV are treated with steroid suppositories (and sometimes other things as well). I have IV, and I am also using a probiotic called Fem-Dophilus to help encourage my good bacteria to take over again. I won't know until July when I have my next test if my treatments worked.
