I was first told basically to just go home and use hydrocortazone, then I went …

Diagnosed Recently

Tue Jan 08, 2019 3:55 pm by flissyg

Hi All,

I’m so glad I’ve found a place where there are others who understand how I feel!

So this is my story:-

I’m 36,  and 4 months ago, whilst innocently sitting in bed reading I experienced a very sharp stabbing pain in my clitoris. It last only a few minutes and then subsided as quickly as it came on. It put it down to “one of those things”.  The following morning I woke up …

Wed Dec 05, 2018 3:26 pm by Cin124

Hi everyone,

About three months ago, I started having vaginal and vulval itching. Then, about two months ago, my vulva started to feel painful and look swollen, so I went to the doctor. I was tested for herpes, chlamydia, and gonorrhea which all came back negative. I also had to do a vaginal swab test and the only thing that came back positive was yeast infection. I was prescribed hydrozole …

MonaLisa Touch

Fri Feb 08, 2019 7:35 pm by rl2091

Hi All,

I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with the MonaLisa Touch treatment for Vulvodynia? My pain started when I went on HRT(pill) for anxiety mainly and my pain abruntly stopped when I stopped HRT. However, when I started on the HRT patch (at my dr's suggestion), the pain returned and has never left. That was 7 years ago. I found MonaLisa Touch on the internet purely by accident …

Hi there. I'm 25 and have been dealing with this for over a year and a half and I'm really starting to lose hope this will ever stop.

In July of 2016 I had a yeast infection. When Monistat didn't work I went to my gynecologist who prescribed Diflucan. When the itching didn't stop she retested me and found that my yeast infection was gone, but I now had a bacterial infection. After taking the …

Hi lovely gals!

I'm honestly hoping to get any bit of advice anyone might have to offer. I go from bouts of sobbing hysterically in my boyfriend's arms to feeling confident that I can beat this.

I haven't been actually diagnosed with vulvodynia but EVERYTHING under the sun has come back negative. I started having sex 4 years ago after starting Lo Loestrin, with my first and current boyfriend …

Please Help me

Post  selewis573 on Wed Nov 16, 2016 4:08 pm

My genital pain started 4 months ago. At the time I was having severe pelvic pressure thought I was usually testing negative for any bladder or vaginal infections. The genital pain started about 3 weeks into that and never left. I still have pelvic pressure occasionally, but it is usually short lived.

My main symptoms now are severe burning, aching and stinging pain around my clitoris. I do not have any pain at the actual vaginal opening and no pain with insertion at all. Two doctors had examined me and not seen anything unusual. I tried a cream for allergic reactions along with switching to natural detergent and washing with water only. I also tried xylocaine which didn't help at all. My most recent gynecologist noticed a tiny "pimple-like" spot where the labia minor meet the clitoris and this spot is extremely sensitive and stings when touched. It is only about the size of a tip of a needle, but he thinks it is possible this is causing me pain even though he doesn't know what it is. Has anyone had anything similar? I have the most pain after a lot of walking/movement, prolonged sitting causes much burning, and touch in that area causes stinging. I am not sensitive anywhere else in the vulva. PLEASE HELP ME!

Hi selewis573,

I've had pimples on my labia. Some were small and some were really deep and swollen. Regardless of the size, they've always caused a lot of discomfort for me (from severe pain and burning to intense itching). Mine are always caused by using products that clogged my pores (vaseline, coconut oil, etc.).

So it is extremely possible that a pimple is causing you pain since everything on the vulva seems to be 10x as painful as it would be on other areas of the body. Plus, vulvar pimples take forever to fully heal sometimes.

I hope it's only a pimple for you, and you will be healed in no time Smile
