Gabapentin Gel. or other topical creams

Thu May 10, 2018 9:43 am by Rosie21

Hi I have been suffering for some years with this abominable pain. I have tried most of the systemic drugs , I asked specialists and Doctors if I could at least try a topical treatment but because this requires a special prescription have been refused Has anybody had a chance of trying these? Thank you I will try to put a link on to some of the research into Gabapentin Gel. Thanks.

Putnams 'bony parts' cushion or Putnams 'Dr Huff' cushion - which is best?

Sat Aug 01, 2015 4:17 pm by Fielder

Hi everyone,

I'm a newbie.  I live in the UK.

I'm trying to work out the best cushion to get for my vulvodynia.  I suspect that I could have pudendal nerve involvement (the aching and burning pain is from vagina to clitoris) and I have rectocele and some tailbone pain too.

I have seen some good reports on older threads regarding the Putnams pressure relief cushions....with some ladies …

An absolute success story- please read!

Fri Mar 08, 2019 10:57 pm by Persevere1990

Dear All,

I posted on here back in March 2017 having just got a diagnosis of vulvodynia after a few months of relentless and acute pain. I was desperate, I was hurting, I was scared I would never know life without pain there again.

I tried creams, acupuncture, numbing gels, frozen pads, baths with various internet recommended concoctions- convinced myself I had lichen sclerosus, herpes, thrush- …

I'm sorry im rambling

Thu Feb 21, 2019 5:49 am by Jet227

hey, im 19, ive been struggling with this almost a year. The first week I became itchy I went in to check about a yeast infection another week later. I have been to 10 different doctors a total of about 15 appointments for this problem for the past 11 months. I have been tested for everything including having a biopsy. I was first told basically to just go home and use hydrocortazone, then I went …

MonaLisa Touch

Fri Feb 08, 2019 7:35 pm by rl2091

Hi All,

I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with the MonaLisa Touch treatment for Vulvodynia? My pain started when I went on HRT(pill) for anxiety mainly and my pain abruntly stopped when I stopped HRT. However, when I started on the HRT patch (at my dr's suggestion), the pain returned and has never left. That was 7 years ago. I found MonaLisa Touch on the internet purely by accident …

Diagnosed Recently

Tue Jan 08, 2019 3:55 pm by flissyg

Hi All,

I’m so glad I’ve found a place where there are others who understand how I feel!

So this is my story:-

I’m 36,  and 4 months ago, whilst innocently sitting in bed reading I experienced a very sharp stabbing pain in my clitoris. It last only a few minutes and then subsided as quickly as it came on. It put it down to “one of those things”.  The following morning I woke up …

New and need advice and help

Wed Dec 05, 2018 3:26 pm by Cin124

Hi everyone,

About three months ago, I started having vaginal and vulval itching. Then, about two months ago, my vulva started to feel painful and look swollen, so I went to the doctor. I was tested for herpes, chlamydia, and gonorrhea which all came back negative. I also had to do a vaginal swab test and the only thing that came back positive was yeast infection. I was prescribed hydrozole …

I am very young and used to be very confident and my self worth was pretty normal for a 17 yr old. The onset to it was ~3 months(maybe less) after I had sex THE VERY FIRST TIME of my life. Being as both me and the guy were virgins I didnt expect a disease but I got tested anyways several times by multiple doctors and over and over again it was negative for STDS.

Fast forward to the now:

I really really need as much support as possible..I have a 1 year old and a bf I been with for 4 years, but now I need to get a job to see more money come into the house(living with another family) and I just have no idea how im going to do this...my pain has been acting up, I might get a call for an interview tomorrow and I just dunno what to do. My boyfriend isnt exactly the comforting kind at all and really could have no idea what im going through...I cant just "work through it" or "take a pill for it"(like ibu, acetaminophen, stuff like that). My 1yr old is the only one with medical insurance and im in the process of SSI so I can live but I just have no idea what to think really.

A thought I have stuck in my mind is that my mom had a yeast infection while giving birth to me and i've ALWAYS had yeast infections even since potty training(idk about diapers). So did my mom make me pron to this? Will my daughter be the same? How do I prevent her from getting this?

I have so many questions and I feel my life is so worthless, it happened so young, I didnt get to "live" only reason sex even happens is because SOMEHOW I have a high sex drive. So im 22, never like to go out, kinda bad people skills because, well idk anymore(I wasnt always like this), I have a freaking psyco, irritable grandma like attitude all the time...I used to be bubby and fun and like the outdoors. Now I feel like my daughter is suffering cuz I am having one hell of a time dealing with this pain and all the other big stressors in my life...

Someone PLEASE help....I need anything... :'/

My vulvadynia pain started at 17. I am 22 now. :'/ Empty You aren't alone

Post  Rainy Day Tue Jul 24, 2012 4:48 pm

I have been dealing with this for about 5 months! It totally sux. I have a 2 yr at home, work 4 days a week, and farm on the side with my husband. And, my hubby isn't the most supportive either. He thinks I should still be happy go lucky like normal. Ummmm....NO!

are you just having a flare, or is it always there?

I almost got mine to go away at first by diet and by acidipholous tablets. Then, I cheated big time by eating 1/2 my son's birthday cake...and this beast came back with a vengence. But, doctors say its not yeast.

My vulvadynia pain started at 17. I am 22 now. :'/ Empty Yaay, support. :]

Post  Mandadity Tue Jul 24, 2012 7:46 pm

Well from 17 to a few months pregnant I had it NON-STOP with the worst pain ever a 10/10 Pain, Sex or not it was ALWAYS there. While pregnant and until my daughter was 6 months old, I had almost no pain, the worst it EVER got was a 2/10 pain and it was a very short time period. Since shes 1 now, the last 6 months have been getting worse. Just last night was a 7/10 pain and I was sitting on a heating pad and it wouldnt go away..I was burning my thighs off more then having the pain go away.

I, about half the time, have a yeast infection or bacterial infection on top of vulvadynia pain. The way I tell the difference is I only itch during yi or bi, never vulva pain.

I knew I wasnt alone but I am just praying it'll go away(Not religious either). I just dont know what to do and I dont know if im the only one out there like this but when I have 10/10 pain, I cant think, im gaining weight since 17, I think just because im bored and im eating everything. Cant afford to get insurance or get the weight down. So i think very little of myself.

Oh and what I meant about first sentence is that my pain isnt always there now/yet again but used to be non stop.

I really appreciate the support/reply. :]
