Hi I have been suffering for some years with this abominable pain. I have tried most of the systemic drugs , I asked specialists and Doctors if I could at least try a topical treatment but because this requires a special prescription have been refused Has anybody had a chance of trying these? Thank you I will try to put a link on to some of the research into Gabapentin Gel. Thanks.

Putnams 'bony parts' cushion or Putnams 'Dr Huff' cushion - which is best?
Sat Aug 01, 2015 4:17 pm by Fielder
Hi everyone,
I'm a newbie. I live in the UK.
I'm trying to work out the best cushion to get for my vulvodynia. I suspect that I could have pudendal nerve involvement (the aching and burning pain is from vagina to clitoris) and I have rectocele and some tailbone pain too.
I have seen some good reports on older threads regarding the Putnams pressure relief cushions....with some ladies …

Dear All,
I posted on here back in March 2017 having just got a diagnosis of vulvodynia after a few months of relentless and acute pain. I was desperate, I was hurting, I was scared I would never know life without pain there again.
I tried creams, acupuncture, numbing gels, frozen pads, baths with various internet recommended concoctions- convinced myself I had lichen sclerosus, herpes, thrush- …

MonaLisa Touch

Hi All,
I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with the MonaLisa Touch treatment for Vulvodynia? My pain started when I went on HRT(pill) for anxiety mainly and my pain abruntly stopped when I stopped HRT. However, when I started on the HRT patch (at my dr's suggestion), the pain returned and has never left. That was 7 years ago. I found MonaLisa Touch on the internet purely by accident …

Hi All,
I’m so glad I’ve found a place where there are others who understand how I feel!
So this is my story:-
I’m 36, and 4 months ago, whilst innocently sitting in bed reading I experienced a very sharp stabbing pain in my clitoris. It last only a few minutes and then subsided as quickly as it came on. It put it down to “one of those things”. The following morning I woke up …

ever wonder how those porn stars do it??...the truth..
Hey guys..ever wonder how those porn star FUCK for a living, everyday, when you cant even get a tampon inside your yayo, or have sex once a month with your husband!?
just thought Id add this interesting article I found on the web regarding the TRUTH about the Porn industry and Herpes, Chlamydia, and other STDS..
now that my old man has grown USED to watching porn, and now that Im all better..and able to have sex, and he watches porn instead and DONT have sex..(the emotional, and marriage damage is done thanx to my trusty old friend VV!)
Here are some articles I found about the porn industry , and what these girls REALLY go thru with their vag's!!
Genital herpes and pornography : the hidden side of porn.

Genital herpes and pornography : the hidden side of porn
Genital herpes and pornography - not a mix we often see. Indeed, if you’ve ever watched a pornographic film, you may have gotten the impression that STDs don’t exist at all in Hollywood. Characters in those films jump into bed without ever having “the talk” beforehand. They hardly ever use condoms. And they never wake up with a worrying itch.
Well, the truth is, the actors playing those characters DO have to face up to STDs, including genital herpes. Below is some of the information I’ve dug up on this particular topic.
Genital Herpes and Pornography 1. Introduction
2. How many porn stars have herpes?
3. Is anything being done?
1. Introduction
Remember a few years ago when that young Canadian porn star was diagnosed with HIV? California’s porn industry shut down for weeks. It turned out that the actor Darren James had come back infected from a shoot in Brazil, and boy, did they take the whole thing seriously.
Diagnoses of genital herpes, however, are “par for the course”. It’s never news when a porn actor catches HSV. It never shuts down a production company, let alone the whole industry. Life just goes on.
In this regard, incidentally, maybe we could learn something from the porn industry, or rather from porn stars. Herpes and pornography may not be synonymous, but herpes and pornography workers are, and those workers seem to be treating it as "no big deal".
Wouldn't it be nice if we could all have the same attitude in "our" world?
2. How many porn stars have herpes?
Sharon Mitchell knows all about herpes and pornography. She used to be an adult film star. She’s now a “health activist” and runs the AIM (Adult Industry Medical) Health Care Foundation. She helps treat porn stars for STDs.
In 2001, Ms Mitchell was interviewed on Court TV’s website, the day after a documentary screened called “The Secret History of the Other Hollywood”. Here’s what she had to say about STD prevalence in the adult film industry:
albert_300: "About what percentage of actors and actresses in the industry are infected with various STDs, such as herpes, HIV, etc.?"
Sharon Mitchell: "A very small percentage. Less than 7% HIV, and 12-28% STDs. Herpes is always about 66%. People are medicated with acyclovir for herpes, which is very effective in preventing the herpes outbreaks. Chlamydia and gonorrhea, however, along with hepatitis, seem to stick to everything from dildos to flat surfaces to hands, so, pardon my expression, but we are usually up to our a**es in chlamydia."
Court TV Host: "Those are all pretty high percentages, though?"
Sharon Mitchell: "Not when you consider that 700 people per month in the San Fernando Valley are working with each other. Most of these are co-infections. We are a partner notification facility, and all partners are located, detected and treated within one day of the original infected person coming forward. With partners Our statistics indicate that in this business, with first and second generation contact partner tracings, a disease can potentially reach as many as 198 partners in three days. So we have to move very quickly, medicate heavily, and rely on prevention, education and partner counseling. This is what makes Aim Health Care different and special because we're able to do it, and I'm a proud mother.
alpino798: "Did you ever get any STDs while doing porno?
Sharon Mitchell: "Oh yeah. I have gotten herpes, a bout of chlamydia here and there. I also contracted hepatitis from the drug addiction and a case of trichomoniasis. This is standard when you have sex for a living, by the way."
So, someone who is well placed to know tells us that TWO THIRDS of adult film actors have genital herpes. Quite a lot!
This analysis linking herpes and pornography is supported by other, more anecdotal evidence I’ve found in the press.
An article from the UK’s Guardian newspaper in March 2001, entitled “A Rough Trade”, included an interview with Chloe, a porn star:
"I have herpes," said Chloe as she drove me to a smoker-friendly bar. "After you've been in this business for a while, you have herpes. Everyone has herpes. On the set sometimes you'll say to a guy, 'What's this?' And he'll say, 'What? That? It's a f**k sore.' And it may well be a f**k sore, what with all the traffic. But it's more likely to be a herpes sore, and that guy shouldn't be working. My movies are all-condom, but condoms won't protect you from herpes. They don't cover the base. Sometimes when you're doing girl-girl you'll say, 'Honey, I think you should go and see someone.' It can be a very stinky scene down there. I'll send her to a porno-friendly doctor (the others treat you like s**t) and she'll come out holding her Flagyll prescription with multiple refills."
Another article, from the Advocate website in April 2004, included an interview with the porn star Lexington Steele:
“AIDS isn’t the only problem in the business. Most of the action is shot bareback [without condoms] and STDs are rampant. I’ve been in this business 4 years; if I don’t know what herpes looks like, I don’t know what the back of my hand looks like. I don’t have it, but, man, there have been several situations where I have looked at a girl, said, “I don’t know what THAT is,” and refused to do a scene. I was in Budapest, Hungary, doing a scene on a golf course. The director and producer have this girl, and her ass looks like it was on fire! I wasn’t going there for anything! I told them get another girl or put me on a plane back to the States. I keep a watchful eye over my body. Because of my job I have to consistently monitor my body.”
3. Is anything being done?
Although most in the porn industry seem to be fatalistic about genital herpes (which surely helps them cope with having it), other people are making efforts to limit the damage.
Sharon Mitchell, mentioned above, has started her AIM Health Care Foundation which provides STD testing, prevention education and treatment.
Shelley Lubben, a former porn star who caught herpes after a year or so in the industry, offers help to actors wishing to leave adult film work behind.
And lawmakers are chipping in too. California Assemblyman Tim Leslie proposed A.B. 2798, which would, among other things, make condoms mandatory and bar anyone with an STD from performing without a doctor’s clearance, essentially barring actors with untreatable STDs such as herpes. The bill also proposed making it easier for actors to take production companies to court in the event they contract an STD while working.
Because, believe it or not, many employers in the adult film industry make few efforts to stem the rise of STDs amongst their “workers”.
They argue that condoms “spoil the fantasy”. And that’s why a typical contract signed by an actor might say, for example, that the production company is not responsible, and will pay no medical costs, for "sexually transmitted diseases . . . . such as acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS), herpes, hepatitis and other related diseases."
Nice, huh?"~~~~
By the way...when you have a VIRAL infection like herpes, it makes you wayy more prone to vaginal yeast infections, and irritations...Ive read online and on forums...so these women's vags are not as perfect as they seem...

Lavrose I'm guessing your partners obsession with porn has led you to research this? Have you tried talking to him about it instead?
