Hi I have been suffering for some years with this abominable pain. I have tried most of the systemic drugs , I asked specialists and Doctors if I could at least try a topical treatment but because this requires a special prescription have been refused Has anybody had a chance of trying these? Thank you I will try to put a link on to some of the research into Gabapentin Gel. Thanks.

Sorry for this TMI post but I am currently in the middle of a V flare and i have noticed by bum is red and burning as well. Could this redness be caused by tight pelvic floor muscles and do any of you experience this during a flare up? A burning V is one thing and now a burning bum is just overkill ugh.  Crying or Very sad

I haven't had a burning bum during a flare up but as the Pelvic Floor goes back to the anus it could be due to it being tense. Have you tried any pelvic floor releasing exercises? Also what toilet paper to you use? Make sure it's as soft as can be. You might need to rule out any skin conditions or bacterial infections as this is a new symptom it's worth seeing your Doctor if it hasn't settled in a few days,

I'm exactly the same tbh I'm going Tuesday too hopefully get my pelvic floor muscles assessed , I do also find that (sorry for to much imformation) constipation and the burning bum as you describe my burning goes right into inner thighs ect too bloody nightmare tbh , xo
