Gabapentin Gel. or other topical creams
Thu May 10, 2018 9:43 am by Rosie21
Hi I have been suffering for some years with this abominable pain. I have tried most of the systemic drugs , I asked specialists and Doctors if I could at least try a topical treatment but because this requires a special prescription have been refused Has anybody had a chance of trying these? Thank you I will try to put a link on to some of the research into Gabapentin Gel. Thanks.

Putnams 'bony parts' cushion or Putnams 'Dr Huff' cushion - which is best?
Sat Aug 01, 2015 4:17 pm by Fielder
Hi everyone,
I'm a newbie. I live in the UK.
I'm trying to work out the best cushion to get for my vulvodynia. I suspect that I could have pudendal nerve involvement (the aching and burning pain is from vagina to clitoris) and I have rectocele and some tailbone pain too.
I have seen some good reports on older threads regarding the Putnams pressure relief cushions....with some ladies …

Dear All,
I posted on here back in March 2017 having just got a diagnosis of vulvodynia after a few months of relentless and acute pain. I was desperate, I was hurting, I was scared I would never know life without pain there again.
I tried creams, acupuncture, numbing gels, frozen pads, baths with various internet recommended concoctions- convinced myself I had lichen sclerosus, herpes, thrush- …

MonaLisa Touch

Hi All,
I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with the MonaLisa Touch treatment for Vulvodynia? My pain started when I went on HRT(pill) for anxiety mainly and my pain abruntly stopped when I stopped HRT. However, when I started on the HRT patch (at my dr's suggestion), the pain returned and has never left. That was 7 years ago. I found MonaLisa Touch on the internet purely by accident …

Hi All,
I’m so glad I’ve found a place where there are others who understand how I feel!
So this is my story:-
I’m 36, and 4 months ago, whilst innocently sitting in bed reading I experienced a very sharp stabbing pain in my clitoris. It last only a few minutes and then subsided as quickly as it came on. It put it down to “one of those things”. The following morning I woke up …

New and need advice and help
Wed Dec 05, 2018 3:26 pm by Cin124
Hi everyone,
About three months ago, I started having vaginal and vulval itching. Then, about two months ago, my vulva started to feel painful and look swollen, so I went to the doctor. I was tested for herpes, chlamydia, and gonorrhea which all came back negative. I also had to do a vaginal swab test and the only thing that came back positive was yeast infection. I was prescribed hydrozole …

Meloxicam ointment/lotion/Ganglian Par RFA
Hello all you girls sitting on ice packs, I was wondering if anyone has used Meloxicam ointment/lotion for your Vulvodynia? Also, I just had a Ganglian Par RFA (spelling) done, has this helped anyone? They told me that it would take up to 6 weeks before I would feel any pain relief. I'm getting so tired of this waiting crap. Every time I try a new med., ointment or procedure I have to wait a month or more in order to tell if it is working or not. I've already had this for 2 years and the days keep piling up and the VLSC and vulvodynia pain is only getting worse.
I hope all of you can find something to relieve your pain. We all deserve to be pain free.
hugs to all

I am going through the same thing for the last two years. My doctor just prescribed me amitriptyline, but its been a week with no change... I am wondering if anyone has had success on this drug.
I have tried Tea Tree Oil, Aloe Vera Gel Topically. I have orally taken Grapefruit seed extract, olive leaf with no change.

Hello there, I took Amatryptaline orally and it didn't help at all. I also took Gabapentine and that was useless as well. I use Amatryptaline ointment and that numbs the area but it doesn't last long enough. I take Lyrica twice a day and sometimes that helps the pain but I walk around in La La Land every time I take it. I've been prescribed so many lotions and ointments that I can't remember them all. Probably 30 or more ointments/lotions in all. I've also tried HGC injections, pudendal nerve rfa and other useless things.
Just keep on trying meds, treatments and procedures and hopefully one day you will find that magic thing that will help. hugs

Corona Ointment
Has anyone ever tried Corona Ointment? It is recommended for animals but people say they use it for diaper rash. I'm thinking about trying it after I try the estrogen cream & steroid ointment my doc gave me today he said to call back in 4 weeks. I've tried lots of things and this burning pain doesn't go away it's frustrating.

Re: Meloxicam ointment/lotion/Ganglian Par RFA
let's kick this - I have not personally tried it, but it looks like the active ingredient is just lanolin 30%. Then it also contains: Beeswax (yellow wax), Disodium EDTA, DMDM Hydantoin + IPBC, Fragrance, Lanolin Alcohol, Methyl Salicylate, Mineral Oil, Petrolatum, Purified Water, Sodium Borate, Sorbitan Sesquioleate.
However, I have used baby creams with the active ingredient being lanolin, and all it did was create this horrible unbreathable film that was really hard to wash off. This was quite a while ago, but since my lady parts are sensitive to yeast infections and clogged pores (YEP, you can get clogged pores down there, and they hurt and itch!), I try my best to stay away from barrier creating products like petroleum and waxes.
My specialist recommends rinsing (not spraying) the vulva/vestibule with Gordon’s Boro-Packs after EVERY urination. It comes in a powder that you mix with water in a squirt bottle. I believe one packet should be good for the whole day. I personally haven't used it yet, but the other patients of his that I spoke to said it was a life saver. It is supposed to reduce inflammation, itching, and irritation. I'm not sure of your exact situation, but this may be worth looking into.
I hope this cream works out for you if you try it!
