Hi I have been suffering for some years with this abominable pain. I have tried most of the systemic drugs , I asked specialists and Doctors if I could at least try a topical treatment but because this requires a special prescription have been refused Has anybody had a chance of trying these? Thank you I will try to put a link on to some of the research into Gabapentin Gel. Thanks.

Hey,

I had a vestibulectomy last Wednesday and recovery is going pretty well for me. Not too much pain and am starting to be able to move around far more normally.

I just wondered if anyone else had had one, would you be able to help? I had 4-7 oclock taken off and I'm feeling slight pain occassionally further up, around 2 oclock - did anyone else have this? I'm assuming it's totally normal as it's a tender area to deal with in the first place and I'm a bit battered and bruised down there. I'm guessing it'll settle down soon but I just wanted to check.

Can anyone remember how long it took for their bruising to settle down? I think that's my main problem at the moment pain wise to be honest.

I've also read a lot of people talking about physical therapy after surgery - What does this entail? No one has mentioned this to me. And my surgeon (Dr Downey) hasn't mentioned anything about dilators either but I've read a lot about people using them after a few months.
