Gabapentin Gel. or other topical creams
Thu May 10, 2018 9:43 am by Rosie21
Hi I have been suffering for some years with this abominable pain. I have tried most of the systemic drugs , I asked specialists and Doctors if I could at least try a topical treatment but because this requires a special prescription have been refused Has anybody had a chance of trying these? Thank you I will try to put a link on to some of the research into Gabapentin Gel. Thanks.

Putnams 'bony parts' cushion or Putnams 'Dr Huff' cushion - which is best?
Sat Aug 01, 2015 4:17 pm by Fielder
Hi everyone,
I'm a newbie. I live in the UK.
I'm trying to work out the best cushion to get for my vulvodynia. I suspect that I could have pudendal nerve involvement (the aching and burning pain is from vagina to clitoris) and I have rectocele and some tailbone pain too.
I have seen some good reports on older threads regarding the Putnams pressure relief cushions....with some ladies …

Dear All,
I posted on here back in March 2017 having just got a diagnosis of vulvodynia after a few months of relentless and acute pain. I was desperate, I was hurting, I was scared I would never know life without pain there again.
I tried creams, acupuncture, numbing gels, frozen pads, baths with various internet recommended concoctions- convinced myself I had lichen sclerosus, herpes, thrush- …

I was first told basically to just go home and use hydrocortazone, then I went …

MonaLisa Touch

Hi All,
I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with the MonaLisa Touch treatment for Vulvodynia? My pain started when I went on HRT(pill) for anxiety mainly and my pain abruntly stopped when I stopped HRT. However, when I started on the HRT patch (at my dr's suggestion), the pain returned and has never left. That was 7 years ago. I found MonaLisa Touch on the internet purely by accident …

Hi All,
I’m so glad I’ve found a place where there are others who understand how I feel!
So this is my story:-
I’m 36, and 4 months ago, whilst innocently sitting in bed reading I experienced a very sharp stabbing pain in my clitoris. It last only a few minutes and then subsided as quickly as it came on. It put it down to “one of those things”. The following morning I woke up …

New and need advice and help

Hi everyone,
About three months ago, I started having vaginal and vulval itching. Then, about two months ago, my vulva started to feel painful and look swollen, so I went to the doctor. I was tested for herpes, chlamydia, and gonorrhea which all came back negative. I also had to do a vaginal swab test and the only thing that came back positive was yeast infection. I was prescribed hydrozole …

Hi im a 21 year old ladyyy, and had been diagnosed with vulvodynia almost 3 years ago now, i must of had it also when i was 13 and starting my period as it was always painful to sit down but i always thought it was how a period was!
Even as a toddler my mum mentioned i was always crying and sore down below. So im wondering if that might have been anything to do with it.
So......my experience with it. Mine seems to flare up when im stressed, im thinking it might be something to do with nerve endings swelling up or something? And i dont understand how they can offer surgery to something they dont know about?! They could be messing with the wrong thing and cause other problems! The only thing they offer is 'lidocaine' (spelt right?!) and even that does not help in the most stressful of times. i tried going to my doctor asking if there was any chance to go back to the clinic i was sent to and just talk to someone, for comfort. Do you know what, she fobbed me off, apparently it wouldnt help, and i already know what i got, and more or less shoved me out the door!
Its been so bad latley i have no one to speak to , or who understands, there should be more groups like this! Im coping with this by myself and its not right. Im not myself anymore, ive tried all sorts of holistic therapy. I feel like doctors who dont understand think it isnt that bad. But as some of you know when you go for a wee and it feels like one thousand knives slicing into you its not a laughing matter.
I just wanted to share my thoughts, maybe have some opinions, advice, your experiences. Ill keep on looking through these posts in the mean - time.

I understand
I was turned away by a doctor who told me thats just the way i was and i should worry about it when its time to have kids. I was 17 im 21 now and still scared. Im looking deep into surgery because the same liodine u were prescribed i was too and it helps to an extent but I need more. I feel alone. My new doctor is helpful and understanding. He tried all differnt opitions first but now his pushing really hard for surgery and im scared ill wake up be in debt and still have this problem. Ik this really didnt help much but i just want you to know you arent alone
