Gabapentin Gel. or other topical creams
Thu May 10, 2018 9:43 am by Rosie21
Hi I have been suffering for some years with this abominable pain. I have tried most of the systemic drugs , I asked specialists and Doctors if I could at least try a topical treatment but because this requires a special prescription have been refused Has anybody had a chance of trying these? Thank you I will try to put a link on to some of the research into Gabapentin Gel. Thanks.

Putnams 'bony parts' cushion or Putnams 'Dr Huff' cushion - which is best?
Sat Aug 01, 2015 4:17 pm by Fielder
Hi everyone,
I'm a newbie. I live in the UK.
I'm trying to work out the best cushion to get for my vulvodynia. I suspect that I could have pudendal nerve involvement (the aching and burning pain is from vagina to clitoris) and I have rectocele and some tailbone pain too.
I have seen some good reports on older threads regarding the Putnams pressure relief cushions....with some ladies …

Dear All,
I posted on here back in March 2017 having just got a diagnosis of vulvodynia after a few months of relentless and acute pain. I was desperate, I was hurting, I was scared I would never know life without pain there again.
I tried creams, acupuncture, numbing gels, frozen pads, baths with various internet recommended concoctions- convinced myself I had lichen sclerosus, herpes, thrush- …

I was first told basically to just go home and use hydrocortazone, then I went …

MonaLisa Touch
Fri Feb 08, 2019 7:35 pm by rl2091
Hi All,
I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with the MonaLisa Touch treatment for Vulvodynia? My pain started when I went on HRT(pill) for anxiety mainly and my pain abruntly stopped when I stopped HRT. However, when I started on the HRT patch (at my dr's suggestion), the pain returned and has never left. That was 7 years ago. I found MonaLisa Touch on the internet purely by accident …

Hi All,
I’m so glad I’ve found a place where there are others who understand how I feel!
So this is my story:-
I’m 36, and 4 months ago, whilst innocently sitting in bed reading I experienced a very sharp stabbing pain in my clitoris. It last only a few minutes and then subsided as quickly as it came on. It put it down to “one of those things”. The following morning I woke up …

New and need advice and help
Wed Dec 05, 2018 3:26 pm by Cin124
Hi everyone,
About three months ago, I started having vaginal and vulval itching. Then, about two months ago, my vulva started to feel painful and look swollen, so I went to the doctor. I was tested for herpes, chlamydia, and gonorrhea which all came back negative. I also had to do a vaginal swab test and the only thing that came back positive was yeast infection. I was prescribed hydrozole …

The latest on the essential oils
So, I realize now that I must "switch" up the oils, in order for them to be effective, as my body seems to get used to them after awhile. Lately Ive been doing 2 drops lavender 2 drops rosemary, 3 drops tea tree suppositories for the last 2 weeks up to 3 times a day, and it didnt seem like I feeling any better, worse actually. I figured I might have"burnt" it in there, as Ive done it before, which means I have to lay off the oils for a few days, and c what Happenes. Sometimes I go back to normal, sometimes I dont. Then I have to try again.
Vuvlvodynia is very time consuming.
I never know what my vagina is gonna do day to day. Its so hard, because its something I have absolutely no control over. Its the most unpredictable thing, ever. Just like my Love life, anywhoo...
So something strange happened. I spent the whole day feeling AWFUL!! Sex was the last thing on my mind for the duration. I felt Burned, as Ive been slamming it with oils for the last 2 weeks, almost 3 times a day. I knew, if I layed off of them, for a few days, Id still feel bad, and have to do it again, not knowing if it was gonna get better, or I should try something else. Its so confusing and frustrating. Ive gone months like this before. With Goldenseal and grapefruit seed extract. Its hideous. Meanwhile things are getting tense with my boyfriend as Ive not been able to be sexual.
I decided to try some eucalyptus oil. One drop on my finger, and then I layed down and kind of rubbed it all on the inside as deep as I could, evenly distributed.
At first IT BURNED like the Dickens, but then after 30 minutes I felt 100% back to normal!!
Seriously. Like Normal. Not burnt or sore or anything. Normal. Normal. Not burned. Not "wierd" or "Off". Normal. And not irritated. Like I could have rough sex and it would not hurt me. It felt completely normal again, and great. I ended having awesome pain free sex 3 times with my boyfriend last nite, and we havnt had sex in 2 weeks.
Strange., I didnt think I was any where near ready for sex. and within the hour!!!
Ive had this happened to me before. Back in the early days when tea tree oil used to work for me, and was my "go to" oil. One application and an hour later Im good to go.
Geranium as well. Where I felt awful , and I didnt want anyone or anything near the area, and the next day I feel awesome, great, and ready to go all nite!!
But I seem to have developed a resistance to the Geranium aswell.
I did the Eucalyptus again this morning, just on the finger, and it BURNED even worse, (cuz it was sore from the sexual activity last nite) to wear I was twitching and hoping around on my seat, but it went away in 30 minutes and I feel great (normal) again...so
I have placed an order with Aura Cacia, for Palma Rosa, Mhytle, Patchouili, Peppermint, White Thyme, and Bergamont oil. Gonna try all them at different times. Read up online they can all be used for womens complaints, vaginal yeast infections etc.
It seems Vulvodynia is a process. Day to day, I take it, day by day, and I learn something new everyday.
Its hard tho. My current boyfriend says I smell like Bug spray and its not very sexy, to smell bug spray while gettin it on with your girl, plus its messy, with the coconut oil.
Whatever. Hes ignorant. I Love him. But he knows nothing, anyway...
He also has a large member (not to be too graphic). Which honestly, I mean its nice and all, but when you have Vulvodynia, its REALLY difficult. It seems Im even MORE prone to problems since Ive been with him.

IC
another frustrating thing is. If you have Interstitial cystitus. The oils can irritate that too, which is also been happening to me lately, as Ive been on them nonstop for awhile.
UGH...so Miserable.
Good Luck, ladies, and GOD speed!!
