Gabapentin Gel. or other topical creams
Thu May 10, 2018 9:43 am by Rosie21
Hi I have been suffering for some years with this abominable pain. I have tried most of the systemic drugs , I asked specialists and Doctors if I could at least try a topical treatment but because this requires a special prescription have been refused Has anybody had a chance of trying these? Thank you I will try to put a link on to some of the research into Gabapentin Gel. Thanks.

Putnams 'bony parts' cushion or Putnams 'Dr Huff' cushion - which is best?
Sat Aug 01, 2015 4:17 pm by Fielder
Hi everyone,
I'm a newbie. I live in the UK.
I'm trying to work out the best cushion to get for my vulvodynia. I suspect that I could have pudendal nerve involvement (the aching and burning pain is from vagina to clitoris) and I have rectocele and some tailbone pain too.
I have seen some good reports on older threads regarding the Putnams pressure relief cushions....with some ladies …

Dear All,
I posted on here back in March 2017 having just got a diagnosis of vulvodynia after a few months of relentless and acute pain. I was desperate, I was hurting, I was scared I would never know life without pain there again.
I tried creams, acupuncture, numbing gels, frozen pads, baths with various internet recommended concoctions- convinced myself I had lichen sclerosus, herpes, thrush- …

I was first told basically to just go home and use hydrocortazone, then I went …

MonaLisa Touch

Hi All,
I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with the MonaLisa Touch treatment for Vulvodynia? My pain started when I went on HRT(pill) for anxiety mainly and my pain abruntly stopped when I stopped HRT. However, when I started on the HRT patch (at my dr's suggestion), the pain returned and has never left. That was 7 years ago. I found MonaLisa Touch on the internet purely by accident …

Hi All,
I’m so glad I’ve found a place where there are others who understand how I feel!
So this is my story:-
I’m 36, and 4 months ago, whilst innocently sitting in bed reading I experienced a very sharp stabbing pain in my clitoris. It last only a few minutes and then subsided as quickly as it came on. It put it down to “one of those things”. The following morning I woke up …

New and need advice and help
Wed Dec 05, 2018 3:26 pm by Cin124
Hi everyone,
About three months ago, I started having vaginal and vulval itching. Then, about two months ago, my vulva started to feel painful and look swollen, so I went to the doctor. I was tested for herpes, chlamydia, and gonorrhea which all came back negative. I also had to do a vaginal swab test and the only thing that came back positive was yeast infection. I was prescribed hydrozole …

Vulva and labia has turned dark brown
Hi girls, I have Lichen Simplex Chronicus and I have noticed that in the last year my vulva and labia has turned DARK brown. I don't know if thats from the LSC, hormones (I'm peri-menopausal), the A and D ointment that I use very often, age (Im 48) or ???? Have any of you noticed that the area is turning darker? At first I thought it was my imagination but I use a hand mirror and check the area a number of times every day. I know for a fact that my vulva area was a healthy pink color before this all started and now its a gross dark brown color. I am terrified that it will turn to leather, just like all those gross pictures that I have seen on Yahoo and Google. Two years ago I asked my Gyno if THAT was going to happen to me and she said NO. I don't know who to trust any more. I mean, did my Gyno tell me that just to ease my mind? Ive seen other Gyno's before and none of them have said anything about the dark color, so I never worried about it till now.
Thanks

As far as I know it's an age thing, the older we get the more likely the area is to darken. I'm nearly 40 and mine has darkened in small areas so nothing to worry about but also no way of avoiding the "leather" look eventually!!

Thank you sssssoooo very much for your reply. OMG I was so worried and freaking out. I saw all those horrible and gross pictures of womens vulvas that were brown, shriveled up, swollen, etc. Of course those pictures are the very worst thing that could happen. Im always afraid it will happen to me. Thank again. You have eased my mind.

Re: Vulva and labia has turned dark brown
If it worries you that much, why not go to the doctor? Just to be sure! But yeah, like everything else your vajayjay is going to change as you age. I have seen those pics, and my doc actually treats LS patients, so he explained it to me too, and I understand why you're worried. Honestly, keep an eye on it, if it gets worse, go to the doc, but it's probably just changing as you change Are you doing any kind of treatments for it? Good luck, it's probably nothing, I freak out over EVERYTHING too!!! And I also check mine out too, I'd say if it doesn't change any in a month, you're fine, but for peace of mind, I'd go to the doc just to be sure! And keep in mind, the pics on the internet are probably way worse than what really happens eek! Feel better

Alana, yup, I freak out about any change in my vagina. lol. Im like vulva paranoid. I wonder if there is a phobia for that. Something like VulvaOuchiePhobia. This whole thing is a never ending nightmare.
Next time I see my gyno I will ask her about the darkened vulva. uuuggghhhh Ya never know what will happen next.
Thanks for the reply. Take care.

I think all of us are paranoid, I find one little thing and I'm like OH SHIT I HAVE WARTS! Of course it ends up being absolutely nothing, but I take something and run with it, I think it's just anxiety because of everything we have been thru. But yeah let us know what your doc says when you go for a visit, I'm sure you're fine (and I love how I'm like oh you're fine, but SHIT I HAVE WARTS, so much easier to give advice and tell someone not to panic, but when it comes to myself, well I have the worst thing that could ever happen). VulvaOuchie lmao that's amazing Feel better!

Re: Vulva and labia has turned dark brown
Try not to worry cookie, when I noticed my colour change I was seeing a vulvar dermatologist and I thought if anyone would know the answer it would be her so I asked and got told it was age related and nothing to worry about so it was an informed reply not a flippant one! I think we all spend so much time examining our lady bits we're noticing things other women are never aware of, it's easy to get carried away with our findings and assume it must be something bad because of the pain too. I'm sure you'll get a similar answer to me when you ask and it won't be anything bad.
