Gabapentin Gel. or other topical creams
Thu May 10, 2018 9:43 am by Rosie21
Hi I have been suffering for some years with this abominable pain. I have tried most of the systemic drugs , I asked specialists and Doctors if I could at least try a topical treatment but because this requires a special prescription have been refused Has anybody had a chance of trying these? Thank you I will try to put a link on to some of the research into Gabapentin Gel. Thanks.

Putnams 'bony parts' cushion or Putnams 'Dr Huff' cushion - which is best?
Sat Aug 01, 2015 4:17 pm by Fielder
Hi everyone,
I'm a newbie. I live in the UK.
I'm trying to work out the best cushion to get for my vulvodynia. I suspect that I could have pudendal nerve involvement (the aching and burning pain is from vagina to clitoris) and I have rectocele and some tailbone pain too.
I have seen some good reports on older threads regarding the Putnams pressure relief cushions....with some ladies …

Dear All,
I posted on here back in March 2017 having just got a diagnosis of vulvodynia after a few months of relentless and acute pain. I was desperate, I was hurting, I was scared I would never know life without pain there again.
I tried creams, acupuncture, numbing gels, frozen pads, baths with various internet recommended concoctions- convinced myself I had lichen sclerosus, herpes, thrush- …

I was first told basically to just go home and use hydrocortazone, then I went …

MonaLisa Touch
Fri Feb 08, 2019 7:35 pm by rl2091
Hi All,
I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with the MonaLisa Touch treatment for Vulvodynia? My pain started when I went on HRT(pill) for anxiety mainly and my pain abruntly stopped when I stopped HRT. However, when I started on the HRT patch (at my dr's suggestion), the pain returned and has never left. That was 7 years ago. I found MonaLisa Touch on the internet purely by accident …

Hi All,
I’m so glad I’ve found a place where there are others who understand how I feel!
So this is my story:-
I’m 36, and 4 months ago, whilst innocently sitting in bed reading I experienced a very sharp stabbing pain in my clitoris. It last only a few minutes and then subsided as quickly as it came on. It put it down to “one of those things”. The following morning I woke up …

New and need advice and help
Wed Dec 05, 2018 3:26 pm by Cin124
Hi everyone,
About three months ago, I started having vaginal and vulval itching. Then, about two months ago, my vulva started to feel painful and look swollen, so I went to the doctor. I was tested for herpes, chlamydia, and gonorrhea which all came back negative. I also had to do a vaginal swab test and the only thing that came back positive was yeast infection. I was prescribed hydrozole …

After 2 Surgeries Im Doing 40% better
Hello all you girls sitting on ice packs, Nope, I have not forgotten about you all. Ive had two surgeries where my Dr. cut away skin from my episiotomy scar, my Labia Minora and into my vagina (mostly around the entrance) and he also cut away the Hymen Crunicals (sp). I still have to take Lyrica twice a day, which totally sucks, but along with the surgeries and Lyrica, Im feeling about 40% better. I can sit at the computer and play computer games for 2 or 3 hours, where as before, 1 hour was the most that I could sit for at one time. Ive been able to go out to dinner and actually enjoy myself with out wanting to get the Hell out of there ASAP because of pain. I just bring my little pillow with me and sit on it, which helps. Next month I am being really daring and am going on a short vacation with my hubby. Its a 3 hour drive to our vacation destination and that will be the longest drive that Ive taken in 3 years Also it will be the first vacation that we have had in 3 yrs., because the burning pain prevented me from going any where before. I can't wait to go.
In a few more months, I will see my Dr. and will find out if he can lower my pain even more. I will keep you posted.
I keep you all in my prayers.
Love to you all,
Cookie

Re: After 2 Surgeries Im Doing 40% better
Wanted to add that my Dr. also gave me a script for Lidocaine ointment 5%. It may burn when you first apply it but then it numbs the skin quite well. I think many of you women would get pain relief from this. Make sure its the ointment and not the jelly crap (totally useless) and also make sure its 5% and not 1% (total crap also).
I use it before I have intercourse too. I rub it in and then tell the hubby "you have 15 mins. to get ready and then Im gonna jump you". Its a strange feeling because the outside is numb but the inside isn't. Also, the ointment doesn't seem to bother my hubby. Could you imagine how long our sexual encounters would last if his ya-hoo got numb as well. LOL. It would be like "dude, I don't have all day!!!".
Good luck girls

That's awesome Cookie!
Once in a great while I check up on the site to see how everyone is doing. I came down with V over 2 years ago, but I have been feeling good for over a year. I still have flares now and then, but I would say I am at least 90% better. I am on very little medication. But Cookie, it makes me so happy to hear you are on the road to recovery. The better you feel...the more positive you are...the more your nerves will take a rest. So happy for you!!!
