Pelvic Floor Educator

I received my pelvic floor educator today and have to say it's very dinky! I was a bit worried about the size because I knew it would hurt to insert it if it was too big but it's very small. I won't be using it for a few days because I'm currently on my period but I will update once I try it. Anyone thinking of buying one and worrying about the size, don't it's very small and anyone thinking of buying one should check out ebay for a seller called "medsave" as they are cheap and deliver quickly.

Here's a bit of an update on what the pelvic floor educator is like to use.

Good points:
I could see if I was using the right muscles, and I actually was!!

I could tell when the muscles were fatigued because the outer wand no longer moved downwards, this was very useful because the muscles fatigued way before I thought they would so I knew when to stop.

I could see I was using one side of the pelvic floor more than the other, I expected this as my transversus abs are asymmetrical too so I could add a bit more effort to the weaker side to balance things up.

Bad points:
Just one actually which is the wand on the outside can irritate already irritated vulvas, I found placing a finger in between it and my body stopped that though so it isn't a huge problem.

Overall a useful item to use so I'll be continuing with it.

I bought it online from an ebay seller but I know for a fact Amazon do them. They're also good to use before you go and do biofeedback with a therapist because they are shaped exactly the same as the probe for most machines.

I downloaded this app on my andriod phone called the Kegel Muscle Exerciser. It just times you when to relax and when to tighten lol only used it once..

It's an excellent thing to buy because it gets you used to the probe size and provides feedback when you know what you're supposed to be doing with it but I would still say get your pelvic floor checked out professionally to see how many reps and sets of fast and slow contractions you should be doing and to get a feel for the relaxing the pelvic floor, I was doing kegels in what I thought was the correct way before I went to the physio and turns out I wasn't relaxing the pelvic floor at all in between reps and of course the slow contractions I thought I was doing fine I was losing the contraction after a few seconds so I wasn't at all!

Did you get to choose the size of the probe? When I did it I went for the 'anal' sized probe because the 'vaginal size' was too scary to even contemplate.

No she only uses vaginal probes on women and saves the anal probes for her male clients! She did drench it in lube though and told me how to insert it with the least problems so I got it in fine. It was getting it out again once my tight pelvic floor had got a grip on it that was a bit of a problem but I just reversed her insertion instructions and managed it. It did look like it was going to be a huge problem but it wasn't, the sore skin didn't help things but I think it's worth it to see what's going on in there.
