Gabapentin Gel. or other topical creams
Thu May 10, 2018 9:43 am by Rosie21
Hi I have been suffering for some years with this abominable pain. I have tried most of the systemic drugs , I asked specialists and Doctors if I could at least try a topical treatment but because this requires a special prescription have been refused Has anybody had a chance of trying these? Thank you I will try to put a link on to some of the research into Gabapentin Gel. Thanks.

Putnams 'bony parts' cushion or Putnams 'Dr Huff' cushion - which is best?
Sat Aug 01, 2015 4:17 pm by Fielder
Hi everyone,
I'm a newbie. I live in the UK.
I'm trying to work out the best cushion to get for my vulvodynia. I suspect that I could have pudendal nerve involvement (the aching and burning pain is from vagina to clitoris) and I have rectocele and some tailbone pain too.
I have seen some good reports on older threads regarding the Putnams pressure relief cushions....with some ladies …

Dear All,
I posted on here back in March 2017 having just got a diagnosis of vulvodynia after a few months of relentless and acute pain. I was desperate, I was hurting, I was scared I would never know life without pain there again.
I tried creams, acupuncture, numbing gels, frozen pads, baths with various internet recommended concoctions- convinced myself I had lichen sclerosus, herpes, thrush- …

MonaLisa Touch

Hi All,
I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with the MonaLisa Touch treatment for Vulvodynia? My pain started when I went on HRT(pill) for anxiety mainly and my pain abruntly stopped when I stopped HRT. However, when I started on the HRT patch (at my dr's suggestion), the pain returned and has never left. That was 7 years ago. I found MonaLisa Touch on the internet purely by accident …

Hi All,
I’m so glad I’ve found a place where there are others who understand how I feel!
So this is my story:-
I’m 36, and 4 months ago, whilst innocently sitting in bed reading I experienced a very sharp stabbing pain in my clitoris. It last only a few minutes and then subsided as quickly as it came on. It put it down to “one of those things”. The following morning I woke up …

New and need advice and help
Wed Dec 05, 2018 3:26 pm by Cin124
Hi everyone,
About three months ago, I started having vaginal and vulval itching. Then, about two months ago, my vulva started to feel painful and look swollen, so I went to the doctor. I was tested for herpes, chlamydia, and gonorrhea which all came back negative. I also had to do a vaginal swab test and the only thing that came back positive was yeast infection. I was prescribed hydrozole …

Post-op pain-- am I normal?? Please help!
I'm six days post-op from a partial vestibulectomy and hymenectomy. My doc has prescribed silvedene cream to be applied constantly and a salt water bath three times daily to avoid infection. Days 1-2 post-op were okay pain wise. Maybe 2-3/10. The last several days have been a lot harder, but I've also been off hydrocodone and taking only Motrin. I have to return to work this coming Wednesday and I'm very concerned as I am still unable to sit without partially reclining. Also, my pain has changed substantially in the last 24ish hours from intermittent pain caused by movement or position to constant pain only relieved by ice packs or salt water baths. No fever, but I'm taking Motrin every 6 hours. I'm worried that it is infection but I have no drainage from the wound, neither bleeding or pus, just this new terrible pain (6-8/10). Any others who have been through this? Did your pain change like mine? When? What caused it? Please help!!

Thanks Alana3. Did your pain change though? Did it go from being intermittent to constant?

Honestly I dont remember having much pain. I stopped taking pain killers 3 days after but had twinges.and electrical feelings and such. I kept an ice pack on it for 3 weeks. It was well worth jt though just for reassurance sake

Re: Post-op pain-- am I normal?? Please help!
You are only 6 days post op I am positive that everything you are feeling is normal. I was fine at 5 weeks and told to go back to normal activities then (it was like 5 weeks and 5 days so closer to 6 weeks). Honestly, everything you are feeling is normal! My doc told me not to do baths until closer to a month after. I took 2 weeks off of work and literally did NOTHING. A week after though, I felt good enough to walk 2 miles, so I did that. And baked cookies that same day. I think I went out for lunch like 3 days after surgery and ripped two stitches. But it didn't slow down my recovery. I honestly have nothing but good things to say about the surgery. My hooha looks no different and it functions just fine! Honestly, if you stopped taking your pain meds that's probably why you have pain. I'd ask your doc for a note so you don't have to go back to work so soon. I was not allowed to work or drive for 2 weeks (I got bored and went for a walk, but I workout everyday so)... If you still have pain in 3 weeks, I'd probably worry, but right now, you're fine!
