Gabapentin Gel. or other topical creams
Thu May 10, 2018 9:43 am by Rosie21
Hi I have been suffering for some years with this abominable pain. I have tried most of the systemic drugs , I asked specialists and Doctors if I could at least try a topical treatment but because this requires a special prescription have been refused Has anybody had a chance of trying these? Thank you I will try to put a link on to some of the research into Gabapentin Gel. Thanks.

Putnams 'bony parts' cushion or Putnams 'Dr Huff' cushion - which is best?
Sat Aug 01, 2015 4:17 pm by Fielder
Hi everyone,
I'm a newbie. I live in the UK.
I'm trying to work out the best cushion to get for my vulvodynia. I suspect that I could have pudendal nerve involvement (the aching and burning pain is from vagina to clitoris) and I have rectocele and some tailbone pain too.
I have seen some good reports on older threads regarding the Putnams pressure relief cushions....with some ladies …

Dear All,
I posted on here back in March 2017 having just got a diagnosis of vulvodynia after a few months of relentless and acute pain. I was desperate, I was hurting, I was scared I would never know life without pain there again.
I tried creams, acupuncture, numbing gels, frozen pads, baths with various internet recommended concoctions- convinced myself I had lichen sclerosus, herpes, thrush- …

I was first told basically to just go home and use hydrocortazone, then I went …

MonaLisa Touch
Fri Feb 08, 2019 7:35 pm by rl2091
Hi All,
I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with the MonaLisa Touch treatment for Vulvodynia? My pain started when I went on HRT(pill) for anxiety mainly and my pain abruntly stopped when I stopped HRT. However, when I started on the HRT patch (at my dr's suggestion), the pain returned and has never left. That was 7 years ago. I found MonaLisa Touch on the internet purely by accident …

Hi All,
I’m so glad I’ve found a place where there are others who understand how I feel!
So this is my story:-
I’m 36, and 4 months ago, whilst innocently sitting in bed reading I experienced a very sharp stabbing pain in my clitoris. It last only a few minutes and then subsided as quickly as it came on. It put it down to “one of those things”. The following morning I woke up …

New and need advice and help
Wed Dec 05, 2018 3:26 pm by Cin124
Hi everyone,
About three months ago, I started having vaginal and vulval itching. Then, about two months ago, my vulva started to feel painful and look swollen, so I went to the doctor. I was tested for herpes, chlamydia, and gonorrhea which all came back negative. I also had to do a vaginal swab test and the only thing that came back positive was yeast infection. I was prescribed hydrozole …

Another PFD question....
Did your PT or Physio give you a time frame of how long it would take to heal you? I know everyone's physical issues are different, but curious as to how long the process is, or might be.
Hope everyone is having a minimal pain day

Re: Another PFD question....
Hi Kathy,
No she hasn't so far. She found loads of trigger points in my back, hips and legs. The pain management consultant I see who referred me to her warned me it could be a "long, hard slog"! I have been 4 times & she was pleased with progress so she left a longer gap between sessions this time 3 weeks & the pain in my back & hips is flaring up again...I go back tomorrow.

Re: Another PFD question....
With my additional connective tissue problem I've been told to expect it to be years rather than months. Most of the women I've spoken to who've recovered with physio have taken about 6-9 months of regular sessions and homework in between but as the others said it varies so there's no definite answer.

Re: Another PFD question....
Probably I could, but I choose not to its really disgusting to me. That shit is supposed to come out not stay in just not really hygenic to me if you really think about it. I don't want cotton shoved up there for hours at a time. Gross!

Re: Another PFD question....
Not really but tampons tend to give me yeast infections anyway so I haven't used them regularly for years for that reason

Re: Another PFD question....
Tampons are so disgusting not that sitting in a pool of blood is any better but really your body is shedding toxins and you're keeping them in yuck yuck yuck!!!! Sorry it just really grosses me out!

LOL Tell us how you REALLY feel Alana! I can't wear pads, so I have to use tampons, although they can be uncomfortable, the pads rub me raw

Re: Another PFD question....
Sorry im pretty blunt lol try the natural pads you buy at wholefoods they may be better for you I hate having a period like really what part about being a girl doesn't suck Hmph my period tho Is light and only lasts about two days so I guess if it were longer is be rubbed raw too. Fucking pads (excuse my French) but why don't they come up with something that doesn't suck like for example a cure for periods? Can you tell I've thought about this for a while ger!

Re: Another PFD question....
Lol They do have a cure, a hysterectomy! But that brings on more problems. I'd just be glad to have my periods as they are but before all this bullshit happened. I already told my friends not to complain about their cramps to me because I have no sympathy, or my friends who are married and complain about their hubby's wanting sex. I'd do anything to have that normalcy back.

Re: Another PFD question....
I would kill for a hysterectomy, I want to sooooo badly you have no idea. I even went as far as skipping periods, but it's not a good idea as I develop boobie cysts. Being a woman SUCKS!

Re: Another PFD question....
Seriously. I'm over it. I think what's annoying me more than anything now, is that this all started with sex with a new guy. He's walking around FINE right now and I've been suffering for the past 6 months AND he's a total jerk. (My fault for picking an A-hole)...lol Although it would be totally misplaced blame, I'd love to kick him in the balls, everyday for the next 6 months

Re: Another PFD question....
Try reusable cloth pads. Far, far more comfortable than those horrible disposables. Washing them isn't that big a deal either.
