Gabapentin Gel. or other topical creams
Thu May 10, 2018 9:43 am by Rosie21
Hi I have been suffering for some years with this abominable pain. I have tried most of the systemic drugs , I asked specialists and Doctors if I could at least try a topical treatment but because this requires a special prescription have been refused Has anybody had a chance of trying these? Thank you I will try to put a link on to some of the research into Gabapentin Gel. Thanks.

Putnams 'bony parts' cushion or Putnams 'Dr Huff' cushion - which is best?
Sat Aug 01, 2015 4:17 pm by Fielder
Hi everyone,
I'm a newbie. I live in the UK.
I'm trying to work out the best cushion to get for my vulvodynia. I suspect that I could have pudendal nerve involvement (the aching and burning pain is from vagina to clitoris) and I have rectocele and some tailbone pain too.
I have seen some good reports on older threads regarding the Putnams pressure relief cushions....with some ladies …

Dear All,
I posted on here back in March 2017 having just got a diagnosis of vulvodynia after a few months of relentless and acute pain. I was desperate, I was hurting, I was scared I would never know life without pain there again.
I tried creams, acupuncture, numbing gels, frozen pads, baths with various internet recommended concoctions- convinced myself I had lichen sclerosus, herpes, thrush- …

MonaLisa Touch

Hi All,
I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with the MonaLisa Touch treatment for Vulvodynia? My pain started when I went on HRT(pill) for anxiety mainly and my pain abruntly stopped when I stopped HRT. However, when I started on the HRT patch (at my dr's suggestion), the pain returned and has never left. That was 7 years ago. I found MonaLisa Touch on the internet purely by accident …

Hi All,
I’m so glad I’ve found a place where there are others who understand how I feel!
So this is my story:-
I’m 36, and 4 months ago, whilst innocently sitting in bed reading I experienced a very sharp stabbing pain in my clitoris. It last only a few minutes and then subsided as quickly as it came on. It put it down to “one of those things”. The following morning I woke up …

New and need advice and help
Wed Dec 05, 2018 3:26 pm by Cin124
Hi everyone,
About three months ago, I started having vaginal and vulval itching. Then, about two months ago, my vulva started to feel painful and look swollen, so I went to the doctor. I was tested for herpes, chlamydia, and gonorrhea which all came back negative. I also had to do a vaginal swab test and the only thing that came back positive was yeast infection. I was prescribed hydrozole …

Discharge!Lyrica, inflammation, tests with no result
Ok so I have been taking Lyrica for 2 weeks. It hasn't really done much at all for me. How long does it take to work?
I feel like my discharge is burning my skin...the area where my discharge hits my vulva area are always the reddest....and if I have a wad of discharge come out it burns, and when I wash it off with water the burn slightly eases. It actually looks like burn marks on my skin where the discharge has been. Yet all swab tests I have had show nothing! How the f*ck does that work? I seriously have no idea what these f*ckwit doctors have tested me for. I don't know if they have checked my PH, if I have been tested for yeast glabrata or just run of the mill candida, or if I have been tested for cytolytic vaginosis, or desquamative inflammatory vaginitis....These are all far less common conditions, all of which I could possibly have! I itch like crazy almost 24/7...I get instant relief on my period.
I am red raw.. .Apparently this chronic inflammation is not common with vulvodynia?
Any advice would be much appreciated. Hope everyone had a great easter.x

itchy like crazy but better now
I was the same way for months and finally I had a Nurse pract give me an order for boric acid tablets you do the treatment for two weeks it helped me a lot it helps get your vagina to the proper ph level. If you can't get a doctor to write you an order I have seen online that you can order it from Amazon and the gel caps to put it in. It might help if not it won't hurt you to try it. I still have some itchiness but now the lyrica works for that and if I want to wear pants I have to use a compound cream.

Re: Discharge!Lyrica, inflammation, tests with no result
Thankyou for your reply. My whole vulva is red raw...Noone can work out why. I burn on and off but itch almost 24/7 and nothing gets the inflammation down how long did it take for Lyrica to kick in and work? I side my vaginal does not itch or hurt, it is only when the discharge becomes air borne. Does Boric acid hurt or burn when you use it? I don't understand how something that goes inside the vaginal would fix the entire red raw vulva. I get it about the burning discharge but the rawness goes right up to my urethral area. The whole situation just confuses and frustrates me

does not itch any more
The Boric Acid does not hurt at all it is in capsules you put in it every other night before bed and the next day you want to make sure you wear a panty liner though because you will have some stuff come out through out the day. you do this for two weeks. the lyrica worked pretty quick for me but it just took the edge off of my pain level never took it away. I am also now on a compound cream of gabapentin, amitriptyline, lidocaine and baclofen this helps if I want to wear pants for a couple of hours. I have been dealing with this for almost a year now and am wondering when its going to end!!!!
Good luck

Re: Discharge!Lyrica, inflammation, tests with no result
I have a similar discharge problem. My doctor in italy says that the inflammation is a consequence of the vv and I have to say that since I started my physio I am having a bit less discharge. Maybe physio reduce inflammation and consequently discharge
