Hi I have been suffering for some years with this abominable pain. I have tried most of the systemic drugs , I asked specialists and Doctors if I could at least try a topical treatment but because this requires a special prescription have been refused Has anybody had a chance of trying these? Thank you I will try to put a link on to some of the research into Gabapentin Gel. Thanks.

Hi all,

Nice to see that there are someone like me in this world. This forum is really useful for learning more about vulvodynia.

I'm 27 now, and my story is almost 8 years old now. I have been suffering from provoked vestibulodynia pain after having my first yeast infection in my life. My gyno is a great one and set me the diagnosis very quickly, but years come and go and my current treatments do not help. I have now decided to try the vestibulectomy surgery.

The issue I'm facing right now is that I need to find a good doctor who can do this. I'm from Latvia, and I can't find any doctors here who can do this kind of surgery. Therefore I'm asking for a help, maybe you can provide me with your experiences, where you had the surgery - clinic and surgeon?

So far I have found one clinic in Switzerland, and I'm still googling/emailing to a lot of clinics. I want to have at least couple of clinics to choose from. Any help is much appreciated. Thank you!

I too am looking for a surgeon in Europe but I'm considering going to the USA as I hear treatment is better there.
