Help New Diagnosis

The following includes what has happened to me over the course of roughly 5 months. Starting in November I started having symptoms that include: outer vulva and entry of vagina itching/burning/tingling, general discomfort of genitals, and sometimes burning after sex or touch.

1. I was negative for all STDS, but in Israel my test was positive for M.Hominis, Urea Urealyticum, and Urea Parvum. The doctors told me I do not need to treat this as these are normal bacteria in some people.

2. In February my GP diagnosed me with bacterial vaginosis and I was treated with clindamycin.

3. In March I saw a gynaecologist and he also diagnosed me with bacterial vaginosis has not gone away and prescribed me metronidazole gel. This did not improve my condition at all.

4. I found a different gynaecologist who diagnosed me with lichen sclerosis (without biopsy). I did not feel that the steroid cream he gave me helped at all and was unsure of his diagnosis.

5. Two weeks ago I found another gynaecologist t and she said I was negative for bacterial vaginosis and diagnosed me with a yeast infection and possible vulvodynia and prescribed me anti-fungal pills as well as numbing cream to help with the pain.

I have tried several antibiotics, yeast infection treatments, steroid creams, numbing creams and several natural therapies such as boric acid, coconut oil, apple cider vinegar, garlic and oregano supplement, and probiotics internally and orally. My quality of life is extremely diminished and I have lost hope. My symptoms are constant 24/7 without any relief daily.

I do not know if anyone else has constant, itching pain 24/7.

I've been through the same hell!!.
I've tried everything and still nothing has worked for me.

I am currently pregnant, and i have a little bit less pain, which it can be related to the hormones my body is producing now (progesterone).
I was following a treatment with local cream based on pregabaline and gabepantine (which i still use) it helps a little but the pain remains.

The doctor told me that we should wait until i give birth to start a new treatment based on hormones (even though i dont like the idea very much), because this is how i have experience less pain.

So i would advise you to have your hormones checked if you havent done so.
Hopefully you'll find the cure soon for this horrendous sickness.

5 months is too long for no treatment.
The first choice for this is amitriptyline or Cymbalta if the amitriptyline doesn't work. Vulvodynia can have periods of remission so if you start this treatment you have all the chances for improvement. Google for a specialist doctor in your area
