Gabapentin Gel. or other topical creams
Thu May 10, 2018 9:43 am by Rosie21
Hi I have been suffering for some years with this abominable pain. I have tried most of the systemic drugs , I asked specialists and Doctors if I could at least try a topical treatment but because this requires a special prescription have been refused Has anybody had a chance of trying these? Thank you I will try to put a link on to some of the research into Gabapentin Gel. Thanks.

Putnams 'bony parts' cushion or Putnams 'Dr Huff' cushion - which is best?
Sat Aug 01, 2015 4:17 pm by Fielder
Hi everyone,
I'm a newbie. I live in the UK.
I'm trying to work out the best cushion to get for my vulvodynia. I suspect that I could have pudendal nerve involvement (the aching and burning pain is from vagina to clitoris) and I have rectocele and some tailbone pain too.
I have seen some good reports on older threads regarding the Putnams pressure relief cushions....with some ladies …

Dear All,
I posted on here back in March 2017 having just got a diagnosis of vulvodynia after a few months of relentless and acute pain. I was desperate, I was hurting, I was scared I would never know life without pain there again.
I tried creams, acupuncture, numbing gels, frozen pads, baths with various internet recommended concoctions- convinced myself I had lichen sclerosus, herpes, thrush- …

I was first told basically to just go home and use hydrocortazone, then I went …

MonaLisa Touch
Fri Feb 08, 2019 7:35 pm by rl2091
Hi All,
I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with the MonaLisa Touch treatment for Vulvodynia? My pain started when I went on HRT(pill) for anxiety mainly and my pain abruntly stopped when I stopped HRT. However, when I started on the HRT patch (at my dr's suggestion), the pain returned and has never left. That was 7 years ago. I found MonaLisa Touch on the internet purely by accident …

Hi All,
I’m so glad I’ve found a place where there are others who understand how I feel!
So this is my story:-
I’m 36, and 4 months ago, whilst innocently sitting in bed reading I experienced a very sharp stabbing pain in my clitoris. It last only a few minutes and then subsided as quickly as it came on. It put it down to “one of those things”. The following morning I woke up …

New and need advice and help
Wed Dec 05, 2018 3:26 pm by Cin124
Hi everyone,
About three months ago, I started having vaginal and vulval itching. Then, about two months ago, my vulva started to feel painful and look swollen, so I went to the doctor. I was tested for herpes, chlamydia, and gonorrhea which all came back negative. I also had to do a vaginal swab test and the only thing that came back positive was yeast infection. I was prescribed hydrozole …

What to take for yeast infection?
My YI does not show up in tests. I've must of had it since I was 12, got it from a hospital (??).
Diflucan only works for 24 h and causes weird side effects. Some idiot at the GUM clinic gave me Aqueous cream which did nothing for the neuralgia, and it gave me MORE thrush, more like on the skin.
I'm taking some GREAT probiotics which work partially, and now have started sodium bicarbonate internally... has any of you wonderful ladies used anything natural and good ? I'm more interested in herbal things, like tea or herbal baths or something. I cannot boric acid anywhere on the internet and would need to trust the source....

I seriously doubt you've had a yeast infection since you were 12 but try AZO yeast.

Hmm...while it's definitely true that some yeasts just don't show up well on culture, I would consider the possibility that it's not yeast, too (a lot of things look a lot like yeast in terms of discharge, and can cause the same kind of irritation). In terms of natural treatments, crushed garlic is an effective herbal remedy for balancing vaginal flora, if you are okay with the smell!

Re: What to take for yeast infection?
I already take probiotics with garlic in them, also eat occasional fresh garlic with my fries :>
I'll just have to have another swab test soon

Re: What to take for yeast infection?
I would check for bv, ureplasma and strep. Also vulvodynia can mimic yeast which is why so many people are put on yeast tx when they have vulvodynia. But to keep looking for yeast when its not coming up is silly.

Re: What to take for yeast infection?
Mary Jane, I always wash all underwear extra thoroughly and the garlic thing seems to help too. Canesten creams and pessaries seem to work for me but they can burn, and they aren't really natural which is what you want. I wonder if Holland and Barrett have anything? I have heard femdophilus and acidophilus are good for both BV and thrush. Have you ever tried that anti-candida diet? X

@ tinkerbelle Yup. am already taking the BEST probiotics EVER with 7 different strains....lacidophilus included.... I might give Pau D'arco tea a try ...
if only I hadn't used that stupid aqueaous cream
I can't go on the anti-candida diet because I can't give up sugar

Re: What to take for yeast infection?
Bio kult candea probiotics (7 strains plus garlic plus grapefruit seed extract) they cost 10 gbp on amazon or 15 at boots. They are made in the UK. Out of all of the probiotics I've ever had/tested, these DO WORK!
