Hi I have been suffering for some years with this abominable pain. I have tried most of the systemic drugs , I asked specialists and Doctors if I could at least try a topical treatment but because this requires a special prescription have been refused Has anybody had a chance of trying these? Thank you I will try to put a link on to some of the research into Gabapentin Gel. Thanks.

So, on 13.03.15 I had the all clear to have sex again. I used a vibrator at first and it hurt like hell, I doubted if the surgery had worked when I first used it.
But last night I had sex with my boyfriend for the first time since my operation, don't get me wrong it wasn't full blown hot steamy sex it was slow and tender and only about 3/4 off his penis actually went inside because the full length felt like I was going to tear at the bottom.

I don't know weather anyone has read any of my other posts but I doubted the operation had worked due to still having burning but not in the surgery area, mainly underneath my bladder. It felt like my uretha was burning and I thought it would lead to problems when having sex but last night it never.

I'm taking baby steps and my boyfriend is so understandable, he's not rushing me into anything and I'll continue to only have slow sex until everything is more stretchy.
I hope my bladder burning doesn't cause a problem when we start to have more 'steamy' sex haha! But to anyone recovering from surgery and are experiancing burning I wouldn't worry because it hasn't caused me any trouble as off yet.

I'm so relieved!
