Gabapentin Gel. or other topical creams
Thu May 10, 2018 9:43 am by Rosie21
Hi I have been suffering for some years with this abominable pain. I have tried most of the systemic drugs , I asked specialists and Doctors if I could at least try a topical treatment but because this requires a special prescription have been refused Has anybody had a chance of trying these? Thank you I will try to put a link on to some of the research into Gabapentin Gel. Thanks.

Putnams 'bony parts' cushion or Putnams 'Dr Huff' cushion - which is best?
Sat Aug 01, 2015 4:17 pm by Fielder
Hi everyone,
I'm a newbie. I live in the UK.
I'm trying to work out the best cushion to get for my vulvodynia. I suspect that I could have pudendal nerve involvement (the aching and burning pain is from vagina to clitoris) and I have rectocele and some tailbone pain too.
I have seen some good reports on older threads regarding the Putnams pressure relief cushions....with some ladies …

Dear All,
I posted on here back in March 2017 having just got a diagnosis of vulvodynia after a few months of relentless and acute pain. I was desperate, I was hurting, I was scared I would never know life without pain there again.
I tried creams, acupuncture, numbing gels, frozen pads, baths with various internet recommended concoctions- convinced myself I had lichen sclerosus, herpes, thrush- …

I was first told basically to just go home and use hydrocortazone, then I went …

MonaLisa Touch

Hi All,
I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with the MonaLisa Touch treatment for Vulvodynia? My pain started when I went on HRT(pill) for anxiety mainly and my pain abruntly stopped when I stopped HRT. However, when I started on the HRT patch (at my dr's suggestion), the pain returned and has never left. That was 7 years ago. I found MonaLisa Touch on the internet purely by accident …

Hi All,
I’m so glad I’ve found a place where there are others who understand how I feel!
So this is my story:-
I’m 36, and 4 months ago, whilst innocently sitting in bed reading I experienced a very sharp stabbing pain in my clitoris. It last only a few minutes and then subsided as quickly as it came on. It put it down to “one of those things”. The following morning I woke up …

New and need advice and help
Wed Dec 05, 2018 3:26 pm by Cin124
Hi everyone,
About three months ago, I started having vaginal and vulval itching. Then, about two months ago, my vulva started to feel painful and look swollen, so I went to the doctor. I was tested for herpes, chlamydia, and gonorrhea which all came back negative. I also had to do a vaginal swab test and the only thing that came back positive was yeast infection. I was prescribed hydrozole …

10th Day Sugar Free And Pain Free
Hi,
Ok this is a bit random but what the Hell. After two torturous weeks of pain, burning and itching I decided to detox my whole system. Now I usually avoid wheat and dairy as they give me hives, rashes, make me throw up etc but Iv never really came off sugar for a prolonged period of time. So after these awful painful weeks I had a day off and decided 'What the Hell Ill try anything' I had a shower, smeared myself in cream and spent the day only drinking water and eating 'clean foods'.
I have strictly avoided sugar and yeast since then and Im on my 10th day of minimal to no pain-no itching, no burning, no rawness, no stinging nothing.
I had a piece of cake whilst visiting my aunt (shes old and pushy ) anyway I had my usual allergy symptoms but I also started to feel an itch in my vuval area-luckily thanks to my allergies I didnt have to wait long before my body rejected the cake and I threw up-I drank as much water as possible to flush my system however I had mild, niggling pain that night. Iv avoided it since then and been fine.
This is what worked for me Im not saying itll work for everyone but I would recommend anyone giving it a try its a lot easier than you think.
Take care

Thanks for this post!
Phenomenal.
I agree totally. Sugar is horrible for V. It causes inflammation, swelling, itching, and all types of pain.
However, atleast for me, its not safe to avoid sugar all together because I become hypoglycemic. I think fruits and dried fruit is a healthier option to sugar. But realistically how long can one go with avoiding sugar?? Hello period!!?? And cravings? EEk.
I guess a strong willpower is what is required.

Great to hear
Another girl on here found symptom resolution from cutting out everything and going on a alkalised raw diet. I can't remember her name.
Alot can be said for diet. Don't treat out bodies with the respect they deserve and they play up! (I know, its unfair some people go along doing all sorts of wrong to their bodys and they don't have symptoms, something will get them one day)
Wishing you further pain free days ahead. It's a wonder you didn't look into diet sooner seeing as you have so many sensitivities. Thank god you did hey?

Re: 10th Day Sugar Free And Pain Free
Hi Noni, Hi Aussie!
Yeah its been great!
Noni, Im still drinking fruit juice and eating fruit as obviously the body need some type of sugar but Im mainly avoiding processed sugar and trying to eat 'clean'
As far as cravings go after the first few days (which are hell) I havent really had any to be honest-plus because I remember the pain I think Im developing a sugar phobia haha.
But regarding willpower I was used to avoiding things because of my wheat and dairy intolerance but I would suggest doing it one day at a time, its what I did and now I dont even want to try sugar again.
Aussie I totally agree! Our bodies react in crazy ways if we treat them badly. I guess what with having no wheat and dairy I didnt even think about sugar as I thought I was doing soooooo well avoiding them
Im trying to eat lots of fresh veg, fish, chicken, fruit, soy milk and water.
Im mainly nervous about my period (which I got two days ago) as my worse pain always comes after period for at least a week or two so Im hoping that because generally I consume more sugar during my girlie week that's what causes the worse pain and now that Iv had a long time off it Ill be ok but we will see.
Ill keep you posted either way!

Re: 10th Day Sugar Free And Pain Free
So its been almost a month since I have had sugar (I think little bits have snook in though)
The pain has been much less however I have still had some prickling and achyness-not as bad as usual but still uncomfortable and not fun.
Im still avoiding sugar and using large amounts of betnovate. Im also taking amytryptaline (sp) at night.
i would really recommend avoiding sugar it has helped a lot.
