Gabapentin Gel. or other topical creams
Thu May 10, 2018 9:43 am by Rosie21
Hi I have been suffering for some years with this abominable pain. I have tried most of the systemic drugs , I asked specialists and Doctors if I could at least try a topical treatment but because this requires a special prescription have been refused Has anybody had a chance of trying these? Thank you I will try to put a link on to some of the research into Gabapentin Gel. Thanks.

Putnams 'bony parts' cushion or Putnams 'Dr Huff' cushion - which is best?
Sat Aug 01, 2015 4:17 pm by Fielder
Hi everyone,
I'm a newbie. I live in the UK.
I'm trying to work out the best cushion to get for my vulvodynia. I suspect that I could have pudendal nerve involvement (the aching and burning pain is from vagina to clitoris) and I have rectocele and some tailbone pain too.
I have seen some good reports on older threads regarding the Putnams pressure relief cushions....with some ladies …

Dear All,
I posted on here back in March 2017 having just got a diagnosis of vulvodynia after a few months of relentless and acute pain. I was desperate, I was hurting, I was scared I would never know life without pain there again.
I tried creams, acupuncture, numbing gels, frozen pads, baths with various internet recommended concoctions- convinced myself I had lichen sclerosus, herpes, thrush- …

I was first told basically to just go home and use hydrocortazone, then I went …

MonaLisa Touch
Fri Feb 08, 2019 7:35 pm by rl2091
Hi All,
I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with the MonaLisa Touch treatment for Vulvodynia? My pain started when I went on HRT(pill) for anxiety mainly and my pain abruntly stopped when I stopped HRT. However, when I started on the HRT patch (at my dr's suggestion), the pain returned and has never left. That was 7 years ago. I found MonaLisa Touch on the internet purely by accident …

Hi All,
I’m so glad I’ve found a place where there are others who understand how I feel!
So this is my story:-
I’m 36, and 4 months ago, whilst innocently sitting in bed reading I experienced a very sharp stabbing pain in my clitoris. It last only a few minutes and then subsided as quickly as it came on. It put it down to “one of those things”. The following morning I woke up …

New and need advice and help
Wed Dec 05, 2018 3:26 pm by Cin124
Hi everyone,
About three months ago, I started having vaginal and vulval itching. Then, about two months ago, my vulva started to feel painful and look swollen, so I went to the doctor. I was tested for herpes, chlamydia, and gonorrhea which all came back negative. I also had to do a vaginal swab test and the only thing that came back positive was yeast infection. I was prescribed hydrozole …

FML - sick of pain :(
I have a pilondial cyst (under the tail bone) which hurts. I am due to see the surgeon in September and the only thing I can do is take anti - inflammatorys when it flares up. I am terrified of surgery and the recovery. I am so scared I cant even think about it at the moment
I have come on my period and was woken up at 5am with more shitty pain! I couldnt do my biofeedback as doing the exercises seems to put pressure on my tail bone area. I have ordered a coccyx cushion which should be here by next week at the latest. I do hope it helps. Im trying to type crying and have cried all my fecking make up off!
Im so scared also of another flare up of V as I have to sit forward now with the cyst hurting. Last time after my period I got such a bad flare up I was given tramadol. I wish I could take it now rather than the anti-inflammatorys but I know I need to stick with what the dr said to do.
All this has set of my anxiety and I feel like I am hanging by a thread and if it breaks they will commit me to the bloody psychiatric ward!!
I hate my body so much, I just fucking hate it!!!!!!!!!! I hate my brain too and right now I just wana say FML!! (Fuck My Life)
Thanks for listening x
Re: FML - sick of pain :(
Oh Sebby I won't lie to you the recovery from those cysts is long as I'm sure you already know they remove it and then pack the wound bit by bit until it's healed. I know 2 people who've had them and they both said it was gruelling but they were so glad once it was removed and had healed and gone. It's odd isn't it how us V sufferers often have other pelvic pain issues. The only thing I can suggest is biting the bullet and getting it surgically removed, have you had it a long time or has it just appeared? I totally understand how shit you feel I feel like I'm going round in circles, relax the pelvic floor then my SI joints flare up and it tightens the PF all over again. Sometimes it feels like there's no way forward with these things but we have to believe there is. What about taking cocodamol? Can you take that? That can be taken with anti-inflammatories most of the time so it might be worth asking if you can take both? It's very depressing isn't it, one thing after another and no light at the end of the tunnel but try to hang onto the fact you were doing pretty well before when you were doing the biofeedback so you can back to that point again once you've sorted out this other issue. Good luck sweetie and I'm sending you a cyber hug. xx

Re: FML - sick of pain :(
Thanks my lovlies. I may just bite the bullet Sarah and get it removed. I know how they leave the wound open etc and I think its just that I am afraid my anxiety will just take over during the recovery.
I am trying to think positive as the pain has calmed down both front and back. I ended up with my wisdom tooth playing up this week too and was crying at work on Thursday. Thats calmed down now and Im back to the dentist on Tuesday
I guess I am so highly anxious with it all cos I am having a holiday soon and so dont want to be in pain but something will probably hurt. (will take the tramadol wiv me lol)
Im deff struggling at the moment, Im praying for strength tho.
Love you all x
